when, where and how.
I'd be interested to know when, where and how people turned to accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour.
Me?....I'm still fishing

Re: when, where and how.
For me, I grew up in the church. But watching the lives and actions of the folks there made me question the validity of it all. So as I grew older I rejected the teachings, due to the 'results'. The whole wheel of sin, forgiveness, sin, forgivness, just made no sense. Giving up something for lent and then picking it back up again, didn't resonate.
When I found a church that strived to follow in the footsteps. A church that saw Jesus as a teacher, one who provided insight and direction and if you followed that same path his teachings and your following them was the saving grace...so saviour, not Saviour. ie as one preacher told the homeless guy who knocked on the church door...he said, "Sister, I'm hear to be saved!!", she responded, "My son, you've come to the wrong church, here you have to save yourself."

After taking in accurate knowledge of the bible
enlightenment indeed JOHN 17;3
Jesus is feeding his faithful channel lots of good bible based spiritual food and they like to share it out with others ,and mee likes to recieve it
matthew 24;45-47 and yes it is Jehovahs witnesses .
"God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son,(Jesus) in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
For God sent forth his Son(Jesus ) into the world, not for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him. john 3;17

Jesus never was my saviour... its all too american, that, for me... instead, for me, Jesus is a brother, an enlightened being who tried to do his bit to make the world a better place...

Francis,
Regardless of nationality or terming, Jesus as a saviour is one of the essences of Christianity though? To believe in him you will have eternal life etc etc.

Thats nice...
I like to picture Jesus as a performance body dance artist, dancing to Queen - These are the days of our lives... With tap shoes.

I've known since I could remember. Doesn't mean I didn't have my ups and downs, or questions or doubts. But deep inside, I've known, with first cognative memories. May not have been able to put thoughts into words or sentences as a child, but the knowledge is there, because I opine it isn't learned but rather, innate, or pre-existing.

Wise words as usual Q. Think you have hit the nail on the head there. I feel the same, I've always been spiritual. Guess I'm just seeking "confirmation" There is a tiny thing holding me back but I don't know what it is.

I don't think Penguin has "doubt" per se. Might be more like "human nature". We don't like to give others control of our lives (yet we do it all the time).
I tell my child "don't touch the stove, it is hot". Simple enough safety advisory and command. BUT, what does the child do?
Burnt fingers and lot's of tears for Dad to dry away...

Isn't that curiosity? Mama told me never to look into the eyes of the sun... But mama... That's where the fun is...

Re: when, where and how.
I haven't got "doubt" as such, I've had a taste of calling a few months ago and it was a very powerful vision indeed. In addition to that I have been feeling seriously pumped and uplifted since starting to read the Bible for over a year now. Wish I had done it sooner!

Then why do you feel something is holding you back?
