Re: Which religion do you follow?

I'm Pagan more than anything, was raised very Christian, considered myself a Taoist for a while, am heavily influenced by Hinduism.

Not anymore . I also follow Hinduism ... a combo of monistic-theistic Shaivite and Vedantic branches.

I guess most folks or a large proportion anyway, on the site are searching, exploring or interested in new ideas. Others of us are interested in dialogue... so it's a bit of a self-selective group.

Ironically it's probably those who most want to name their own faith and are ignorant of others who probably most need to go on this site!! Yet of course they are the ones who are last likely.

As for me I voted Christian - I'm very firmly in that camp but for the sake of the world God loves, I believe respectful dialogue is important.

Re: Which religion do you follow?

Seems to me so far the Baha'is have a significant presence. For my experience, it's rare to have more than 4 Baha'is in one discussion area (1 or 2 is modestly common.) I've never had the pleasure of more than 6 - I think we're tying a record here at least in my experience.

funny how many Christians follow the teachings of Moses (10 commandments and the like) and the history of Jesus.

and those that read the history of Moses, and follow the teachings of Jesus, tend to not claim Christian-ity.... Not indicating that you are but many believe they are saved by following the teachings, not by a restating a phrase. They accept the teachings of others more readily, actually are trying to absorb that love concept... So they tend not to click Christianity; as it sends non believers to hell,...but mine is not listed here...

oops I'm now speaking for me...and looking around to see who is holding the basement door open for me.

namaste,

Re: Which religion do you follow?

I was born and raised Christian and I do believe in love, above all else, but I agree with the others in that I'm not comfortable with the -ity.

I don't think I've learned enough about all of the different religions to say which one I subscribe to, maybe I'll never join any particular camp. I guess I'm just not much of a joiner, lol.

It's a wonderful thing to have the freedom to explore them all and discuss them here .
