Yeah, but they do. People who are completely dead. Nothing going on in their body what-so-ever. Some are even dead for 2 to 3 days and they suddenly come back to life.

so why do you say that i am putting ecllesiastis out of context ? the point i was making was that the bible says we go to dust and the other verses are inline with that .

Shouldn't that be; YOU THINK you are greater than all other animals? Compared to most animals we are useless.... You could throw some insects and animals off the top of your empire state building.. They'd walk away, would you? How many other animals are arrgogant, spiteful creatures that have so much greed they are blinded and destroy the world we live in? How many other animals have brought TONS AND TONS of other animals to extintion? How many other animals kill just for the hell of it? I could go on... We are not at all that great lol... As I have said a million times and I will say another million times we are a jumped up animal with such a false high importance and too much intelligence for our own good... It makes me gigglez.... Because we ain't as great as we think we are.... On a scale we are porbally down the bottom of that list..

Yes, you are right. It is called a Near-death experience.

But what constitutes a near-death experience is that the person is actually, really dead, medically i.e. absolutely no activity in the body going on what-so ever. And they come back to life (sometimes in the morgue). They aren't part-dead.

But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. 2 TIMOTHY 3;1-5

I would pay to see the face someone would make in that situation... I'd be like... "oooh you lucky barsteward..." Such a priceless look on the face... Be the other way round if it was a "close" rich relative... Then I'd be the one with the pricless look.

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

Do we really have an immortal soul? If the soul is actually not immortal, then how could such a false teaching become an integral part of so many of today’s religions? Where did the idea come from? It is imperative that we find truthful and satisfying answers to these questions because our future depends on it.

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

The fact is that the Zoroastrians of ancient Persia and the Egyptians before them also believed in the immortality of the soul. The question, then, is, What is the source of this teaching?

Re: Jehovah witnesses.

[quote=17th Angel;118164]Because JW's will not accept that an animal has a "soul" quote]
Jehovahs witnesses believe that animals are souls , just as the bible informs us .
The initial occurrences of ne´phesh are found at Genesis 1:20-23. On the fifth creative "day" God said: "‘Let the waters swarm forth a swarm of living souls [ne´phesh] and let flying creatures fly over the earth . . . ’ And God proceeded to create the great sea monsters and every living soul [ne´phesh] that moves about, which the waters swarmed forth according to their kinds, and every winged flying creature according to its kind." Similarly on the sixth creative "day" ne´phesh is applied to the "domestic animal and moving animal and wild beast of the earth" as "living souls."—Ge 1:24.
After man’s creation, God’s instruction to him again used the term ne´phesh with regard to the animal creation, "everything moving upon the earth in which there is life as a soul [literally, in which there is living soul (ne´phesh)]." (Ge 1:30) Other examples of animals being so designated are found at Genesis 2:19; 9:10-16; Leviticus 11:10, 46; 24:18; Numbers 31:28; Ezekiel 47:9. Notably, the Christian Greek Scriptures coincide in applying the Greek psy·khe´ to animals, as at Revelation 8:9; 16:3, where it is used of creatures in the sea.
Thus, the Scriptures clearly show that ne´phesh and psy·khe´ are used to designate the animal creation lower than man. The same terms apply to man.

My soul is immortal, the instant I accepted Christ...mee. Like Monopoly, I got a get out of jail card, as well as go past Go, and collect $200.00

That is Christ's promise to us all. Too bad you waste your efforts on getting into heaven, instead of dealing with us here and now, knowing you have a place in heaven. I'm sorry, I could never be a JW. I only have enough energy to look after others or myself...not both.

I chose a long time ago to look out for others, and hence enjoy the 'fruits', while I'm here.

It's a good choice I made.

Bless you mee, and God speed.

v/r

if we dont look after our selves in a spiritual way ,we would not be in a position to help others . so we have to think about others and ourselves .
"Pay constant attention to yourself and to your teaching. Stay by these things, for by doing this you will save both yourself and those who listen to you."—1 Tim. 4:16.
