The problem with that 17th is that it is the men (religious leaders, politicians, etc) that decide what can be questioned and they have a mirriad of answers as to why certain issues cannot be questioned (eg because we (the men) interpret the scriptures to say this, so women should accept it because we decided that is what G-d meant).

I was astonished recently to read that some women in the USA & UK are paying to have lessons in how to be a subserviant wife I accept women's lib has gone too far but please let's not go down that road again. In my view this shows that some women can see womens lib has gone too far and are trying to redress the balance but in the wrong way - perhaps women are feeling a bit lost with all this liberation they have gained for themselves?

In the JW faith they stick to the rules of the bible being of higher importance than that of man..... So, no.... If the male does something which is wrong the female can question it.... or refuse or whatever it is!!!

Such as some posts on here I'd consider too much to read.... lol So the hell I am going to read a manual to put something together... I R MAN!!! Man is master of the universe!!! AND!! OH YES AND!! I WILL MAKE THAT COFFEE TABLE WITHOUT ANYONE'S AID...........

And directions? Why bother you always get the complete "£%"£ retard who has no idea where even he is..... And getting lost is fun you find the places that cannot be found....

Instruction manuals are for women anyway, written in a highly technical fashion, so it would appear that we men are the intellectual geniuses that we say we are when we build that coffee table on our own. Of course, we still don't know where that damn extra screw goes.

We don't ask directions because we know all the other men are as clueless as us. You girls think there must be another man who knows more than us, which we, of course, can in nowise allow!

I'm the designated assembler in our family. I get to put together all the Christmas stuff and everything else that comes disassembled. I always read the directions, but I'll admit that I don't like asking directions.

Yeah right, next you'll be telling me you have put those shelves up, fixed the leaky tap and learned to put the loo seat down.
