Re: (Your) Thought of the Day
If you don't have some fun during your day, you'll begin to miss having fun all day.

I'm happy I get some time in the light too. Tis a choice, letting the light in and/or providing light for others. I give thanx for the light.

Congrats! I can understand your excitement. I was a novice potter once upon a time (B.K.) and hope to be one again someday.

Which typs of pottery? Thrown or poured? I'm mostly the poured ceramicist, but I took a class in thrown (I was allergic to the instructor for some reason and there was a personlity clash concerning who knows more about the Jewish culture, an ootside observer or a practitioner.*)
Sorry to temporarily derail the thread here.

Wheel thrown. I tend to use a kickwheel, and stoneware clay. I've got pics up at my website at gallery.benchite.net of what's come out so far. Got about another dozen and 1/2 pieces tonight that I haven't got pictures of yet, but will tomorrow (probably).

For China Cat...
If life is short, shouldn't you be hitting an iron instead?

"Gah, I have got to clean this nasty truck out. Angh, I'll do it tomorrow."
My other thought was: "Holy crow!!! $2.95 a flippin' gallon!"

I played a lot of golf B.K., and miss it now but if I ever find myself with three consecutive hours of free time I've got lots of other things to do. Not to mention that my handicap has hit the max (again). For a while I was breaking 100 routinely, closing in 90 often enough, and getting below 90 enough to keep me going back! Oh, those were the days.
It is a very zen sport.
cheers,
luna

Well, if you were to knock the rust off you could probably whoop me! My goal this year is to break 90 consistently. Golf is very zen, that's what I like about it.

Haha! So, do you tell your wife you're going out to meditate when you hit the greens?
Can't mow the lawn because it interferes with your religion? Ooo, don't let my husband get a hold of that one.
