sorry ... just found this ... haven't signed up yet (won't until May/June) ... but I have asked to present a paper at a conference they're organising.
Try running barefoot around your house a bit, or perhaps a fairly clean paved area outside. You'll notice you don't strike with your heel at all but land midfoot to cushion the landing.
On another note, I've been running 2-3 miles using the barefoot style although still wearing my old NBs. I notice more soreness in the calves and quads but after a while it feels like gliding down the trail. Very nice style of running, I think I could get used to it.
