    I am not making light of it. But I know people who really think that God is like a Daddy up in heaven they call him Papa, I can see it as a way of relating to God but not what God is, to me its equally ok to relate to God as a Mother as well.

    I am married into a family that came from the "The East" they have dogmatic religion but devoid of any genuine spirituality that I can see, I found more in the local Church ! :)

    you make some interesting points although civilization exists in the "East" as well as "the West" so the anti western argument is weak. I believe we are spiritual beings "Westerners" included, the sincere seeker can rediscover this inherent spirituality, psychedelics can be a useful tool...

    the use of magic mushrooms etc is ancient and is not limited to so called "western people" looking for a hit, the use is ancient historic and evolutionary.

    lol :) another way to look at psychedelic plants and mushrooms is that they are not just drugs as such but they are gifts from Gaia to expand human consciousness. calling them drugs makes them sound bad. its a pretty bad refection on the society that I live in that it is illegal for me...

    psychedelics have played a part in human spirituality since the beginning and are still in use amongst shamanic cultures. the wood that it is made of Acacia is hallucinogenic and is related to Ayahuasca which is in use by shamanic cultures in south america.
