There is no justice if atheism is true

Jehovah did. EXODUS {18:19} Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God: {18:20} And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws, and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk...

    Waiting for the Freeze!

If I said a prayer about anything it would be for old mother nature to kindly send her blooming snow to France, or 'merica, or anywhere, but not here! Anyway, we haven't got snow blowers. On the other hand my wifey has got lovely new tyres, so a bit of snow might even be fun.

Your faith is knowledge? So why call it a faith?

There is no justice if atheism is true

Jesus knew the laws, believed in the laws, but the authorities were a corrupted bunch of hypocrites, just like the Baptist told . The laws were indeed brilliant and while they were kept the people prospered. They were warned how things would go wrong of they ignored them.

Then that is the bottom line.... All the best to you if you've been in dark places and come away from them. I love my perception of Deity as well, but I just perceive that the real true boss around here is Mother Nature, and I do embrace her with all her gifts and terrors, as I walk in to her...

    Waiting for the Freeze!

That looks like a project to me! ......moving downstairs! :) When my late wife died (91) I couldn't leave the area (teenaged kids) but couldn't live in the old place, and so I converted the garage in to a bedsit with bathroom. After my kids moved out I stayed on in the garage. All the...

    Waiting for the Freeze!

Well, it was a great deal, I expect. May you and yours be happy! :) 200' driveway, huh? I'll have you know that the driveway from our ground to the road is...wow!.... eight feet. :D I sold the family home, gave amounts to my kids, and moved in to this tiny place with my girlfriend in 04. It...

There is no justice if atheism is true

But you do? Some posts here definitely suggest that religion is more 'moral' But the word 'moral' is as hard to define as the word 'spiritual' imo. A willow-the-wisp. The laws of Moses all together were a brilliant blue print for a successful healthy secure people (back then) and I don't see...

And non theists help a lot of people, so where are we? Claims by any groups that they are especially righteous or 'moral' should be scrutinised with care, I think.

Can you give any examples of where religion has done just that? As a balance?

There is no justice if atheism is true

Religion has often over-run other cultures, pillaged and looted them and one way of easing conscience was to class the victims as 'not of God', or even 'of the Devil' . It was alright to do bad things to those who were not of God, or the right God. After the badnesses religion could defend...

There is no justice if atheism is true

That answer suggests that I had told that it did no good in the world. I simply asked for your examples, which you appear to have trawled from a Catholic web site. Now, as a balance, can you think of instances where theism has not done so well, or done very badly?

    Waiting for the Freeze!

Ugh!...... Seeing that pic, I wanna clutch a handwarmer! What a lovely amount of space you have. Properties with grounds as large as that in the UK belong to millionaires, mostly. We put up a new fence and posts on the Left flank of our Garden this spring; 10 6' panels......... I'm glad we...

    Waiting for the Freeze!

Ah, then you're luckier than me. If I place my frozen white fingers on my wife's skin she shrieks and slaps me. :D Oh Boy! I reckon we are so going to pay for this very late summer! *shivers*

There is no justice if atheism is true

You have to be joking........ you think there is a religious morality? Please show me any example of your 'religious morality', and by that I mean tangible and real rather than claimed, spoken or written. World Religious Governments are mostly utterly shocking in my opinion. Who wants...

    Waiting for the Freeze!

It's much warmer than usual here as well. So, watch out! We haven't got a clue about what's coming round the corner, no regularity any more, or so it seems. Heat waves with firestorms, storms and hurricanes, freezes.....like an inverted lottery.

    Waiting for the Freeze!

In the past I would use a small 1kw fan heater first thing in the morning to warm up my hands, but two years ago my wife bought me an electric hand warmer. They are so brilliant that I have a few of these now, and don't need fan heaters any more. And on frozen days I can stuff small hand...

    Waiting for the Freeze!

I must look up OO finescale, that's new to me. When I was a kid I lived beside the massive multi-track shunting docks at Radlett, Herts. The sound of shunting locos and the clatter of trucks banging against each other seemed (to me) to go on all night long. The main line from up North in to London
