    Is Truth Relative...

In my opinion this is not a black and white answer. Truth is sometimes relative and sometimes absolute. Certain physical truths are absolute; we are all going to die. this is true whether you believe it or not. Humans can't live under water, like it or not you can't do it(unless with breathing...

    Could this be a Mistake?

Personally I'm not held down in my beliefs by any of these passages. I like to read them for insight and to gain in understanding about how Jesus wasperceived in those days. I'm fine with Jesus not being God. There are enough passages in the Bible to dispute the case either way so nobody wins...

    Could this be a Mistake?

Conscience, I read that over and it does appear that Jesus is being called God. Now if you read on; 3:1-6, you get a different story. Jesus is being compared a high priest and an apostle. Jesus is ranked higher than Moses as being faithful to God in His house. Jesus was in the house of God...

    Question:

God does have a way to communicate with us. It is through our hearts and our conscience. We all have a connection with God that is innate. We don't always listen to it. We allow others to tell us it is being heard wrong andlet Fear dillute the inner voice. You need to be still to hear God's voice.

    Could this be a Mistake?

I know people here hate it when we cut and paste but it was time efficient. Jesus put himself on a level below God on numerous occasions. I believe that God was above Jesus. God is and was God. Jesus was a reflection and His manifestation of the divine through a human. I put on this link below...

    Understanding Spiritual Warfare

I thought that this passage was interesting as to the historcity of the meaning and the term satan. Conscience, where does the Bible say that Satan is God of this earth? I'm just curious.

    Understanding Spiritual Warfare

I am going to quote Elaine Pagels in her book; The Origin of Satan. In the Hebrew Bible, as in mainstream Judaism today, Satan never appears as Western Christendom has come to know him, as a leader of an "evil empire," an army of hostile spirits who make war on God and humankind alike. As he...

    How Come?

Cool. I think you're in a good spot. Just be careful when you start deciding who is Christian and who isn't and who is saved and who isn't. It's a dangerous spot to be.

    How Come?

I know for me that I have periods where my walk is very strong. When I really felt God for the first time I thought it would never end. During that time I judged alot of people because I could tell they weren't feeling it and taking it as seriously as I was. I spoke as you do and was upset with...

    Understanding Spiritual Warfare

It is interesting to me that the characteristics of Satan are very human; pride, gluttony, anger etc. Temptation, the first sin perhaps? If all of these traits are human I venture to say that we are the enemy and that the satan spoke of is from within, not outside of us. These defects of...

    How Come?

Conscience, my bad. I think my last comment was a mix of the many other threads that I read. That comment I made wasn't appropriate. Are you concerned that you may be following someone who isn''t a true christian>? Or do you know people like this>?

    al-tashet

Can anybody here tell me what al-tashet means? I would also like to know how many dialects are there of Hebrew? I know this may seem a strange question. Thanks.

    How Come?

Conscience, why are you so concerned with other peoples salvation? I can discern by your tone that it isn't out of loving concern that they may be relegated to the eternal pits of hell  On the contrary it sounds like you may hope they wind up there. Why are you so preoccupied with false...

    What's the Deal?

What do you make of this quote by Jesus? Luke 12:14-15 But he said to them, "Man, who made me an arbitrator or judge over you?" And he said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of things he posseses."

    Did the Jews kill Jesus?

Before I comment, can someone outline the law for me? I want to make sure we are speaking the same language. My thought is that the law was not put in place to show us we aren't good, rather to give us an outline or guidelines to morality. This law is instilled in all of us since our conception...

    How Come?

I don't think that this condemnation is a condemnation to hell. If you believe in Jesus Christ and what he spoke of and did you are saved. Your soul is saved because you embrace this fundamental truth of life and spirit. Jesus exhausted himself for manknid. He made the ultimate sacrafice of self...

    Question:

Well, I never heard people say that christians are the worst people in the world but I have heard that they are hypocritical. Everyone is a hypocrate at times. A Christian is a follower of Christ. If you follow Jesus Christ you are a Christian. The problem is that people keep putting different...

    What's the Deal?

Conscience---- Excuse me for not sticking with your topic. I bring up divorce because this is something that Moses and Jesus spoke of. Jesus never uttered a word that we know of about homosexuality. Paul did. I don't put Paul and Jesus on the same level whatsover. The 2 reasons you cited are...
