    Misconceptions about Islam

Sometimes, imo, what can happen on net message boards is that people forget that it is another person they are relating to. Why don't we have a thread in which we can have a laugh, a bit of baner, leaving aside all the wee spats? Might be a thought in order to demostrate the 'human side' to...

    British Muslims & Names..

Good. Okay, if we move on then? Thanks. Btw - you are entitled, AFAIK, to start your own threads, Wil. Try doing that rather than following me around like a lovestruck groupie - :p

    Dangers Of 'Faith' Healing?

Very good, brilliant debating style, well done. Now, anyone else have any evidence that 'faith healing' works? How about Voodoo?

    The Writings?

Yes, but that is not important. What IS important is that it serves well my point of manufacturing (possibly?), quotes that are just not there. There are claims that the Talmud calls the mother of Jesus a 'whore', and says all sort of brtual things about Jesus - I cannot find such things...

    British Muslims & Names..

Woo-hoo, now I can see into the future, according to you... My nephew is getting married to a Chinese girl, in May. As and when they have a child, do you think they may call it a tradionally Chinese name, or a more Western one, since you know everything and all? Were Sally to...

    Dangers Of 'Faith' Healing?

Actually, it is not if I say so - you have conceded the point, all by yourself!

    The Writings?

Fatally flawed arguement. The schizophrenic who believes that they are Napolean, he needs no more evidence than his own assertion. Doesn't mean to say that he IS Napolean, does it?

    Confusion over what rebels want..

Yup - those are my thoughts. I don't think for a SECOND that Cameron has sanctioned this out of fluffy care for the people. He hopes to come out of it looking the 'hero', imo.

    British Muslims & Names..

I did acknowlege that - however, that is hardly the case now, if two British Africans get together. They could choose a tradtionally African name if they wanted. Most do not.

    British Muslims & Names..

Why say what? Why say that some Muslim people may gravitate toward selecting less Arab/Muslim names? Because some might.

My ex. And she was insistent about the stuff she was saying. Crazy imo..

    Atlantis

Work of fiction/fable, or potentially a once real culture, engulfed by waters? #1 The Lost civilization of Atlantis Disney movies, Spongebob episodes, massive exploring of the ocean, and even numerous stories have all endeared the tale of the lost civilization of Atlantis to us all. A...

    Confusion over what rebels want..

It is if we sell them weapons so that they can take power, then sell them more, so that they can retain power. Saddam was once our mate. That's what the controllers do, they keep shifting their enemies/friends around. Only a few weeks ago, Gadaffi was now seen as an ally in Western...

    Confusion over what rebels want..

Funny how we see different things, Bob. I don't think Muslims have much of a true representation on this board, at all. Indeed, I don't know of any other Muslims who post here, save for Sally, who always debates v well, I believe, and who I have a fair bit of respect for. I wouldn't at all...

    The Writings?

Bob - Although I, like you, am an atheist, one thing has struck me, as I have been researching passages in the books of Christianity, Judaism, and the Koran- we must be really careful when people quote from them. For a start, we have people here like Nick Griffin who has been culpable of...

    Dangers Of 'Faith' Healing?

But the point is you were the one who admitted that you had not seen aforementioned 'miracles', yet believed them to be going on today. I merely asked you if you believed that based on either A) Actual cases, in which you could show accounts B) Just something you imagine to be the case...
