Hehe... thank you tommy for "protecting" me. Quahom and I get along just fine... it's been almost a year since I've posted here... (back before you were a Moderator I believe?).... so I wanted to see if you were the same nice person I remembered.:D .... it's nice to see that "power" did not go...

    Leaving the Catholic church

Never said it was... I said the right thing to do was write a letter... the content of the letter is none of my concern. I find it best to not read into things and try to interject my opinion about how someone feels.... an attribute that I wish was shared by all.... ;) Scott

    Leaving the Catholic church

Tristan, Tommy did it the right way.... once you have excommunicated yourself from the Catholic Church, the best thing to do is write a letter like that and "make it official". Peace be with you in your decision, Scott

The Pope and the Divine Feminine

Thanks for proving my point. The book is a work of fiction. The "mixture" of historic "facts" do not make the book historical. If I state to you: "The United States is a country in North America founded by Spock from Star Trek."..... I have just given you a "mixture" of historical fact...

    What is "Gnostisism"?

The doctrine of salvation by knowledge. Gnostics believed that human knowledge was enough to grant one salvation..... you could educate yourself into heaven... so to speak. The first challenge against Gnosticism was from the Catholic Church. The last words of the aged St. Paul in his First...

The Pope and the Divine Feminine

Forgive me for jumping in.... but I don't understand what your concern is.... to be Catholic is to be loyal to the Magesterium. The Da Vinci code has torn many Catholics away from our faith.... not everyone on this earth is educated enough to understand the difference between fact/fiction, and...

To be specific.... I started to believe in "a" God after the birth of my daughter.... some more seeking led me to believe in the God of the Bible and Jesus Christ....... then more seeking led me to the Roman Catholic Church. Thanks for the question, Kaldayen! Scott

    interfaith marriage how to

The Roman Catholic view: A case of marriage with disparity of cult (between a Catholic and a non-baptized person) requires great circumspection. According to the law in force in the Latin Church, a mixed marriage needs for liceity the express permission of ecclesiastical authority. In...

Why don't Christians worship as Jews do?

Were did you get that information? From the Bible? Then you've gotta use all of it. Much of our worship and liturgy is very Jewish in origin... as is our faith. The Church is spiritual Israel or, the "new Israel". This is indicated in Paul’s writings: In Romans 9:6 he says that "not all who...

Hello all. Glad to be a new member here. I came to my faith about 3 years ago, and I enjoy learning about religions and spirituality different than my own. Peace to all, Scott

I believe in the Creed 100%..... but would like to point out that the version you posted would not be accepted by my brothers and sisters in the Eastern Orthodox faith. Peace, Scott
