A&E put Satan in position of authority. Jesus said "You are doing the will of your father the devil".And who did he say that to, Soleil? He didn't say that to me. He didn't say that to his disciples. Did he not in fact instruct them to pray, "Our father, who is in Heaven"? Does that mean that it's Satan who's in Heaven, and we're supposed to pray to him?
Marsh, fallen man has two masters. One minute, we do God's will, repent, make promises and the next minute we do Satan will. I am sure you read the bible and experience this in your life many times.

We even killed Jesus.Who? You and I? I'm pretty sure I didn't kill Jesus.
Fallen men like us did it, our ancestors did it I was speaking in general term

I'm also pretty sure that Jesus knew that he was going to be killed well before he actually was.

After two years during his public mission Jesus changed his message from Repent the kingdom is at hand to a message that he will died. Jesus knew it was coming. Faced wih so much rejection God chnaged his original plan of salvation

I'm also pretty sure that Jesus is not dead, so what power do humans have, again?

The Accuser
Revelation 12:10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

That snake, who fools everyone on earth, is known as the devil and Satan. 10Then I heard a voice from heaven shout,

"Our God has shown
his saving power,
and his kingdom has come!
God's own Chosen One
has shown his authority.
Satan accused our people
in the presence of God
day and night. Now he has been thrown out!

Soliel10 Great scripture rev 12:10 and I believe in what this scripture says. AS it reads It shows me that I have been wrong about Satan accuses us before God. It just goes to show that even when we think we are right we just might not be. It's never too late for me to learn the truth. Thanks for providing scripture to back up what you say. Thats all I have been asking you to do. This way i just dont take you word I can take Gods word and that what I love to do. seek out and fine the truth, and learn from it. Hey it's not the first time I have been wrong and It wont be the last. (thanks).

Winner, Ben provided that scripture 2 days ago. You may have not seen it. You can go back and read it for yourself.
No problem. Evrything is cool.
In any case, I do not like to insert a scripture everytime, I write a few words because, it can make it impossible to follow.
I believe that truth has powerof its own. Our original mind responds to it. It enlightens us.
I do not want to become a tape recorder or a parrot to the point that I cannot think for myself. There is so much of it.
Be well

It is deffinatly not from scripture. Just the title of this post, Satan accuses us before God is 100% totally unscriptural. No where in the bible does it say this. jesus never taught this. The prophets of OLD never taught this either. If one reads soliel10s post it reads like a check list of what the mainstream christiandom man made teachings are. Incuding the mainstream christiandom man made traditions.

Winner08, you are right!! Satan does not accuse us before God...

...In CONTEXT with what soleil is saying...In CONTEXT, soleil claims Satan accuses us before God, in order to send us to a fabled "hell".

If we commit even one sin, Satan, the devil, will immediately accuse us before God and say, “Because of this sin, this guy must go to hell.”
Though Satan, who accuses human beings for their sin, has surely committed plenty of sins himself. Someone has to come forward to accuse Satan in front of God for his sins.

"Satan accuses" is Scriptual...

But soleil saying...

“Because of this sin, this guy must go to hell.”

Is, as Winner08 says :100% unscriptual...

need I remind Satan is a deceiver...

Satan accuses man of sin, man is ACCOUNTABLE but not REPONSIBLE...

Read again what I wrote.. Satan is of course unscriptural. What do you expect ?

Satan accuses man of sin, man is ACCOUNTABLE but not REPONSIBLE...

These sound like the words of a typical politician to me ?
I will tell this to the IRS, the policemen, the judges or my spouse.
I do not know why you are so obsess trying to find something wrong to the point of loosing it. Can you just calm down and get some fresh air?

I am not the devil you know. God made me do it.

Satan is not unscriptural. Satan is a real spirit being that God created.
I do beleive that Satan is real but Hell is not. There are no scripture claming that when a non believer dies he goes to hell to be tortured and burned forever and ever. It comes down to understanding that the word hell was never used in the orginal manuscripts and it was not until the bible was translated into latin the the word hell is used. up until that point hades and sheol was used. and hades and sheol did not mean a place that one would be tortured forever. Soliel19 you must know this. Have you ever looked up the word hell in a concordent? Or strongs's greek and hebrew dictionary? it is easy Go to esword and type in any phrase the the word hell is in and click on the word hell and it will give you the meaning of the word in the context that it is in the orginal manuscript. check it out what do have to lose? Nothing. But you have the truth to gain.

Yes man is accountable but God is responsible. Just as i have always said. The creator is responsible for its creation. why does this apply to any body who creates except for God? why is not God responsible for His creation? That's because man has been fed this falsehood of having a free will. therefore man is responsible. This is just another deception there is no such thing as a free will, all will is caused by something, if something influences our choices then our choices are not free. can anyone see this? Azure24 not included.

And it is this tendency to generalize that is the problem, Soleil. You want to put me into this herd you call "fallen man," and I refuse to be put into it, because there is an extremely important difference between me and many other people in the world:

I'm sorry for my sins.

Anybody who sins and is not sorry for it, let that one belong to Satan, because he is doing Satan's work. I am not doing Satan's work, even when I sin, because I am sorry for what I do and I ask my Lord for forgiveness. That makes my Lord my master, not Satan. I don't have two masters. You might, particularly since you don't believe in the risen Lord.

Let's be honest Marsh, asking for forgiveness and doing it again is what fallen nature is. Satan has many hooks on us.

ST Paul recognized that "

For I delight in the law of God in my inmost self, but I see in my members another law…making me captive to the law of sin… So then, with my mind I am a slave to the law of God, but with my flesh I am a slave to the law of sin

Marsh how did God change His plan for man. When the scripture says God does not change. Also God is perfect therefore His plan for man was perfect and has always been perfect so why would He change. Is there any scripture that says God CHANGED His plan?? I don't think so. Like I said God is perfect and to change would mean that He made a mistake somewhere in His plan and had to change it. To change something means one did not think of all the possiblities to that plan and had to change it. This is not God. God knows the end form the beginning. He knew every perfect detail of His plan and would not need to change His message or His plan for man. Never happen.

Darren

If so show me scrpture where God changed His plan for man. If it was a change God would have took that into consideration and put that in His plan which would not make it a change it would be part of His plan.

Even if I show scriptures, all you wil do is to say that it was part of Gods plan any way to change.

Why are you putting God in a frosen throne up there so distant. Look at the creation that is full of surprises and excitment. You mis-understand the word unchanging. It applies to God's principles and laws and uncinditional love.

The God you describe is cold as marble and rigide as the guard in a concentration camp. That is such a shame, really.

Can you make up your mind ?

Do you know what the word "context" means?

Read again what I wrote.. Satan is of course unscriptural.

Satan is unscriptual?? Explain...

These sound like the words of a typical politician to me ?

soleil. I'll give you a proposition...

Show me anywhere. ANYWHERE. In the Bible where it says man is responsible for his sins...

Then I'll consider you correct...

I can, however show you that man is accountable...

"For the word of God is living and operative, and keen above any two-edged sword, and penetrating up to the parting of soul and spirit both of the articulations and marrow, and is a judge of the sentiments and thoughts of the heart. And there is not a creature which is not apparent in its sight. Now all is naked and bare to the eyes of Him to Whom [God] we are ACCOUNTABLE" (Heb. 4:12-13).

ACCOUNTABLE

See that? "accountable" not "responsble"

Now find "Responsible". Please??

Can you just calm down and get some fresh air?

You want to know why I'm so mad??

God told Isaiah to...

"Cry ALOUD, SPARE NOT, lift up your voice like a TRUMPET, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins" (Isa. 58:1).

While others...

"Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us SMOOTH things, prophesy DECEITS" (Isa. 30:10).

I would rather sound a little angry or sarcastic than to teach smooth and deceitful things. Even Isaiah used colorful language...

I am not the devil you know. God made me do it.

But "it's all GOD" Who is ACTUALLY doing it, isn't it? NO, YOU, ACTUALLY, ARE THE ACTIVE PARTICIPANT WHO IS DOING IT! God merely brings about the circumstances that INFLUENCE AND CAUSE YOU TO DO IT!

Now then, pay close attention to what I am saying: Why are we held accountable for something that we absolutely COULD NOT HAVE AVOIDED? Why? Because at the time we made the 'voluntary' (not absolutely 'FREE,' but 'voluntary') CHOICE, it was in OUR heart and in OUR mind to DO SO. And if the choice was WRONG, or SINFUL, then WE, not GOD, must be held accountable. God takes the "responsibility" for what we did -- hence He DIED ON A CROSS FOR US, but WE are accountable for our SINFUL WRONG CHOICES.

This is the only way man will LEARN right from wrong! Adam and Eve were 'TOLD' right from wrong, but not until they actually 'EXPERIENCED' right and wrong, did it make sense to them. IT IS WRONG TO SIN WHETHER WE WERE COERCED TO COMMIT SIN OR NOT. "The DEVIL MADE me do it." It matters not, YOU DID IT and are therefore accountable.

Juveniles commit MILLIONS of crimes and sins for which they are not RESPONSIBLE. But, nonetheless, our own court system HOLDS THEM ACCOUNTABLE. And even human, carnal, judges take this factor into consideration when handing out penalties.

It is the PENALTY that also CAUSES US TO CHOOSE RIGHTLY after we have chosen WRONGLY! When we burn our fingers on a hot stove, we LEARN to not touch a hot stove.

God has developed a "ways and means" to accomplish His righteous end, plan, and purpose. And God's ways are VERY WISE -- they WORK, and they work very well! We have this absolute promise from God:

"When Thy JUDGMENTS are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world, WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS" (Isa. 26:9)!!!

I believe that truth has powerof its own. Our original mind responds to it. It enlightens us.

More unscriptual nonsense!!

Does our original mind respond to the truth??

Witness No. 1

"Because the carnal MIND is enmity [hatred] against God: for it is NOT subject to the [spiritual] law of God, neither indeed CAN BE" (Rom. 8:7).

Witness No. 2

"But the NATURAL MAN [still being carnal-minded] receives not the things of the SPIRIT of God: neither CAN HE know them, because they are spiritually discerned" (I Cor. 2:12-14).

I do not want to become a tape recorder or a parrot to the point that I cannot think for myself

That's right soleil use your carnal mind to think yourself...Just be sure not to share it with anyone else!!

I do agree with the scripture above

What I meant is repeating tonnes of scriptures without understanding what they really mean to the point of being totally incoherant.

That what a parrot would do

Were you reffering to me?
Not specifically. I would not dare.

I see a lot of people who keep repeating things that they do not understand themselves and do not make any sense. They do not feel free to even question it

All accusation against humanity as well as all boasting of humanity before God, is swept away by the gospel, by Jesus death. "...through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;"(Hebrews 2:14) The gospel cannot be and is never lost. Its just that only God can truly give it. It is when we deny this that we cause divisions in the church, so for instance a heated discussion in order to hammer out some 'very important' doctrinal matters often actually cause a church split! This is the lesson of the tower of babel. The glory of man attempts to create unity and fails miserably; plus for good measure God confuses the effort, since it is boasting.

The martyrs were the seed of the church, but the foundation stone is the truth that only God reveals the role of Jesus. Jesus said to Peter, "Blessed are you, Simon Barjona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. 18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it." Ok, so Peter 'is' the stone; but he obviously is not literally a stone. When is a Reed a stone? Jesus is talking about the stone 'made without hands' mentioned in Daniel. Let us say the stone is the words "Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven." This stone strikes the foot of the image in Nebuchadnezzar's vision (kingdoms of men), destroying it and turning it to dust. Ergo, the judgment against the boastful 'Horn' elsewhere in Daniel is carried out.(Daniel chp 7 & 8 all)

This teaching of 'The Stone' was repeated in many forms, like the parable of the wheat and the tares, or the net that was cast and that caught all kinds of fish. It is a stone made without hands in direct contrast with a Babylonian tower. The Stone is the basic bedrock of all true Christian doctrines, hence Catholic doctrine insists that mystery must be a part of Christian practice. The church had absolutely no problem with incorporating certain pagan religions, for instance, as long as the stone remained the foundation. Ok, so I'm not Catholic; but thats what I think.

I Corinthians 1:19-20 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

Isaiah 40:4-5 4 Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. 5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together,....

Zechariah 4:6-7 Then he said to me, "This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of hosts. 7 What are you, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain; and he shall bring forward the top stone amid shouts of `Grace, grace to it!'"
