Atheists smarter

6 points higher? since most academics are atheists?? as if academic is a level of intelligence? those that can't do....teach... I am continually not impressed with academics that haven't spent time in their profession out of school.
 
I thought IQ tests had been effectively dismissed by science, not least because knowledge recall forms a core part of the test rather than problem solving?
 
Meh, I hates IQ tests, always get scwewed ober on da maths part...

Oh, how I hate the math...Algebra and beyond, the useless to me bane of my existence!

But I bombed da math part, and got a 126. Guess that makes me a genius. Not Atheist tho... Oh wells...

Society has gotten more supportive, so people with strong left-brain tendencies have been living longer and even reproducing. That means we have a lot more IQ-test oriented individuals (mental cases). Usually such people would not do so well in life as high IQ can come at the expense of common sense. No, not always, but often (meaning 'Frequently'). On the whole it may be a good idea if the Hi-IQers are required to start adopting from lower IQers instead of reproducing, and legislation should be introduced immediately to start moving in that direction. Then we will have a more common-sense based population. We've got to stick together!

I'd rep you on 'those that can't do teach' but can't pass on more rep. Maybe this applies to religious figures? :p In the case of theosophy the founder was a hypocrite and I can name a good few other religions whose founders are hypocrites. Makes you wonder if sometimes the adherents do a better job of following the word then the founder themselves.
 
I think such a test is meaningless. But I would say that to be truly atheist you will have no choice but have excellent peripheral vision. And the ability to process the images.

I don't think so, unless you do not consider psychology to be a part of science.:)

There isn't one "the test", there are a myriad. "Knowledge recall" is a "test" only of memory, not "IQ" or any of the other myriad established psychometric tests (which provide details of the population tested on, are tested for reliability and validity (ie the degree to which they test what they say they test)). They are (or should be) administered and analysed by trained testers (often psychologists). Issues of culture and population specificity are well known and researched. Testing is very lucrative but it is only lucrative because they are useful to organisations, in providing them with meaningful information (about job candidates, employees etc).

I had to take 3 tests for IKEA they were practical, written, some personality test and 2 interviews before I was offered the job. Quite lame if you ask me. Whatever happened to good old interviews?
 
You get tests and interviews.... I think both are essential.... Not that I am at all work orientated and despise the concept, but if I owned a business.... lol.....

I would want to make damn sure I only hired the elite...... And the most experienced and qualified for the job..... I know alot of places give token spots to minorities and gays and religions but screw that... lol only the elite. And there would be more than 3 tests PM :D Unless you was a female!! then there would be a wet t shirt contest.
 
Why am I lame? If you are going to invest your time, heart, soul and money into a business... Token/Charity cases.... Are pathetic and an extremely foolish idea..... I wouldn't want people I felt sorry for... Or people from other cultures/sexes/disablities... To look a good guy.... If you ain't good enough you ain't good enough... Race, sexuality, disablity or religious cards cannot be played sorry.

I couldn't give a **** about them lol, business is business... Not personal :/ I have a business... It's aim is to be the best and make money.... I would expect and demand the best.

What I find is manager and corporate job employers are like evil dictators. Slightly psychopathic and apathetic. There having a bad day, it’s going to be your bad day too. Working at IKEA turned me into an anarchist. I’m glad I worked there, I got to see how corporations work. I believe that it really doesn't matter who you employ as long as there is a harmony in the work place of care and loving kindness to be the most dominant force. Most small to medium independent businesses have this kind of attitude. At most I'd like to meet the person I'm going to employ for 5 minutes to see where there most suited to work. Everyone needs a job, not only because they need an income but also social interaction and actively is very healthy, no one should be discriminated. Customers will pick up a nice vibe and return. Thats my philosophy anyway.
 
Yeah, like I said though I am not work orientated lol I loathe careers and work and what not... Just saying that If I was going to run a business it would be like that lol..... Love and kindess? That can be left at the front door... No room for either when you are attempting to be as you said "the most dominant force" You have to be cut throat ruthless...... They're not meant to replace interviews, but supplement. Studies have shown just using interviews is a poor way of recruiting (for both applicants and recruiters) in terms of whether or not the people stayed in the post. Also just using interviews opens up all sorts of inappropriate criteria for employment...
