    "Meditation and Its Methods" is a book of meditation techniques, by Swami Vivekananda.

    Swami Vivekananda (1863 - 1902, taught in the West) was one of only a handful of souls recognized as a living saint, by Mahatma Gandhi.

    Wow. What chagrin. I never mentioned? The classical silent meditation was taken from TM as Maharshi Meshi yogi taught it. TM was short for Transcendental Meditation. Very well known once in 70s & 80s visted by Beatles etc.
    Maharshi Meshi yogi was in the line of Shankaracharya matha.
