Wow. What chagrin. I never mentioned? The classical silent meditation was taken from TM as Maharshi Meshi yogi taught it. TM was short for Transcendental Meditation. Very well known once in 70s & 80s visted by Beatles etc. Maharshi Meshi yogi was in the line of Shankaracharya matha.
