Absolutely not. Are we even certain that the Jesus Christ of the Bible ever really existed at all? The historical evidence is nearly non-existent. But, there was someone somewhere who walked around teaching these Truths. A Truly and cosmically enlightened individual possessing the True gift of the Holy Spirit, which is Wisdom. Spiritual awakening, enlightenment, Kundalini, whatever you want to call it. I'll call it God-realization. True messengers all go through a process involving countless hours of gaining knowledge of Truth, or more like sifting out all the lies. He receives messages from the True Holy Spirit in the form of thought, not voices. When he finally becomes prepared, the utterly cosmic experience of enlightenment/God-realization happens. I know only because it happened to me 9 years ago. God revealed who They were, not what but who. I was informed of several Truths, and I was given a single gift from the Holy Spirit of the Mother, which is interpretation along with Wisdom, which if you want to name Her, Wisdom would be it. You cannot know Her without knowing God the Father, name Him Truth. Beyond that the True Heavenly Parent is unnameable.

With that being said, the man that was the pattern for the Jesus of the bible was an extremely enlightened individual who was led by the True Spirit of God, which is the dual nature of Truth/Wisdom, "both male and female" existing in unity, a Truly androgynous Spirit if you will. I won't rant but it really does pay to "know the beginning", as Jesus harped on many times.

Jesus' actual name would have been Yeshua ben Joseph, real or not. Coincidentally, there was an Essene preacher who walked in Israel a century prior to the time Jesus Christ supposedly walked named Yeshua ben Pantera, or Yeishu ha Notzri. He was called the "teacher of righteousness", and reportedly performed several miracles. He was born as a result of a woman named Mary or Miriam being raped by a Roman soldier named Pantera. Other accounts point to an adulterous affair between the two, but it makes no difference. The fact is that this Yeshua wandered around teaching things that really pissed off the religious authorities to the point that they eventually stoned him to death and hung his body on a tree in 88 bce. If I had to guess, I would say this is where the sayings of Jesus came from. The stories came from somewhere else, mostly borrowed from other so-called pagan religions, including but not limited to Krishna, Buddha, Mithra, Zarathustra, Horus of Egypt among many others.

The point here is that when man writes a book claiming it to be the Word of God, and refers to the Son of man (not the only begotten Son of God who is God, Jesus never claimed either) as the "way, the Truth, and the Life", the True God of Love made sure that what was quoted from Jesus would be certainly True, and also made sure that those who seek Truth would know whether His words were True or not.

"If any man willeth to do his will, he shall know of the teaching, whether it is of God, or whether I speak from myself" (John 7:17).
One of the messages I received in my experience was to believe what Jesus said, not what was said about Him, and that I would know whether He actually said what is written, or if the words were put in His mouth by less than scrupulous men.

It is by our Creators love that even on shred of Truth exists in that book, because when we are told a man and woman ate from a tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and the knowledge they ate was evil (they were ashamed, remember), then the whole book would have to contain evil knowledge to be True. The evil knowledge (old wine) was served first, and thank your Heavenly Parent that They love us enough to serve up the "good knowledge" later in the form of the Words of Jesus. Man may have penned the book, but trust me, someone else was moving their hand making sure that Truth got written down. It didn't all get written down in one book, however. Truth is scattered all over the world, in many different "works of God". Sifting through all the good and evil knowledge is the absolute hardest task man could ever undertake, but, overcoming the world, and knowing the Truth that sets one free is one heck of a reward.

So, did Jesus pen His own Words. No. God did for the vast majority. But, in a book of good and evil knowledge, it is incumbent on man to know which ones, because the father of lies got his two cents worth in there as well.

    peace

Mr. Camping is not the first and is just one of many. I was under 9 years of age when a prognosticating minister suggested that we should prepare for the worst which would come very soon -- the great tribulation (not the rapture) was upon us. We bought grain and supplies preparing for who-knows-what. The church bought lots of land. Personally I thought the Russians might invade and try to take away all of our Bibles just like in the Chick tracts. Fortunately we did not sell our properties or give away all of our money. We kept on with our lives, however there were hardships that stemmed from it. Lets see this happened to me somewhere in the early 80's. Mr. Camping and his church are just a new version of an old old story that will keep repeating until the end.

    library...

    used book store.

quite divine of you to be able to divine from the canon which is added, which is not...

Yes voted, but that is the word that gets folks so excited. Each and every scholar had already their decades of study which stacked upon the centuries of study before them that they based their 'vote' on. So they selected based on what they knew and 'divined' what was... Definitely not original Jesus.. Not Jesus but written in his nature... Probably Jesus... and red letter Jesus... So they turned the redletter bible to red, pink, grey and black...and then did the same with the works/actions perported to have been completed by him...

btw, I enjoyed your wine rendition....you claim that as your own?

If I took the credit for anything I say or write, that would be far from Truth, and therefore blasphemous. the water to wine interpretation was mine, but, only as a result of the gifts I received from Providence. One thing I can assure you. I say nothing that has not already been said . Jesus gets the credit here as always. Many people thing that my views are bizarre, bit my views have validity that only comes from the one Christians claim as the "Saviour of all mankind". I have zero renditions of my own. Every belief I have is 100% affirmed through the Word of God, and Jesus of Nazareth.

The sad part of all this, is the fact that the real Truth of Jesus goes against What is taught on the pulpit, so when Christians are presented with the Truth, they will go as far a to condemn me to hell for not agreeing with the fundamentalist ideology that abounds today.

I'm glad you enjoyed the "wine rendition". And, yes it is my own you could say, but I will give the credit to Providence, for it was the True Holy Spirit who blessed me with this gift I have. The problem is that my renditions as you call them go against what is accepted as Truth by all the blind, ignorant, and very "lost sheep" sitting in pews every Sunday throwing all that money into plates while getting drunk on the very bitter wine served up another blind and ignorant false teacher who wouldn't know Truth if it slapped him or her in the face. Here are a couple quotes sent down by Providence in the form of Jesus' Words that the "holy" church attempted to hide.

Jesus said, "I took my stand in the midst of the world, and in flesh I appeared to them. I found them all drunk, and I did not find any of them thirsty. My soul ached for the children of humanity, because they are blind in their hearts and do not see, for they came into the world empty, and they also seek to depart from the world empty. But meanwhile they are drunk. When they shake off their wine, then they will change their ways." Gospel of Thomas #28

Jesus said, "Often you have desired to hear these sayings that I am speaking to you, and you have no one else from whom to hear them. There will be days when you will seek me and you will not find me." Gospel of Thomas #38

You enjoyed it because the Spirit that dwells within you led your thought process so you might understand Truth when you read or hear it. She's with you brother, as She is in everyone. Have you not in your had thoughts that you wondered where they came from, usually in the form of some little warning not to do something you are about to do? You knew the thought came from inside you, but you questioned it, wondering where it came from. Of course, like most people you ignored it, did what you were going to do anyway, and as a result, something bad resulted. Everyone has. This is exactly what Jesus tells us. He said that the Spirit of God is inside everyone. Here is another good quote of the 114 sayings from the Gospel of Thomas. Imagine, a gospel with 114 sayings of Jesus, no stories, no magic tricks, or any of the other stories borrowed from other so-called pagan religions of the time. Simply 114 things Jesus said. And, this gospel was not deemed worthy to include in the Catholic canon? I could rant here but I digress.

Gospel of Thomas 2. Jesus said, "Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all. [And after they have reigned they will rest.]"

Gospel of Thomas 5. Jesus said, "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you.
For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. [And there is nothing buried that will not be raised.]"

I am getting a bit off track here so I will conclude with this. Scholars and clerics can study their entire lives, but the bottom line is this. One has to have some help. Supernatural help. I agree, that seeking the Truth is the hardest task man could ever endeavor, but, without the guidance of the Divine Holy Spirit man remains forgetful, and is ignorant of the Truth no matter how long he studies. Messengers are chosen by Providence, and that is the only claim I make is to be a very humble messenger of Truth/Wisdom. I don't know why, because, believe me I was never one you wold call religious. I didn't go to church but a handful of time my entire life. I was always a believer, but, I did not buy into the message sold by anyone standing on a pulpit. I prayed, and I asked, sometimes demanded that God reveal Himself to me. I was always very interested in prophesy, because as a child and adolescent I would receive various "thought messages" , the most striking being "the end is near". Then at age 40, when I had all but given up on attempting to make sense out of the greatest mystery ever called the Holy Bible, I started receiving the thought transmissions again, and very frequent. And, then one day in 2002, I had the most unreal vision you could ever imagine. And, it was not pretty. I will tell you about it if you are interested, but I am going way too long here, so, let me finish with a couple more things Jesus said concerning this subject.

Gospel of Thomas 62. Jesus said, "I disclose my mysteries to those who are worthy of my mysteries.

Become better than I; make yourselves like the son of the Holy Spirit." (Secret Book of James)

Finally, here is one that Christians should pay close attention to, if they are fortunate enough to be able to find it.

Jesus said, "Whoever drinks from my mouth will become like me; I myself shall become that person, and the hidden things will be revealed to him." Gospel of Thomas #108.

It's authentic, I guarantee you. Sorry to rant so long, but, I have a lot to say, and my mind runs 1000 mph at times, but, I do this because the Truth needs to get out, whether it is received or not. It usually isn't because the messages I have to offer all qualify as "good news", which differs greatly from all the "good and bad news" sold at your local parish.

So, my friend, if you liked the rendition of the wine story, I will relay the best news of all. It comes from the mouth of whoever Jesus the man was, and, it is authentic I will tell you just in case the Jesus seminar disagrees.

"Nothing, then, redeems us from this world. But the All which we are, we are saved. We have received salvation from end to end. Let us think in this way! Let us comprehend in this way!" - Dialogue of the Savior

It is not a question of whether we are saved. Everyone is, because, we are all One Spirit, as nearly every religion attempts to teach. The only question is how many times do we have to come back to this hellhole to learn the lessons we need in order to "overcome the world". As the cosmic Christ Spirit declares in Revelation 3:12

Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.

Notice the use of the words "my God". Does that not imply something here. Christians and Jews better heed these words, because Jesus was not blowing smoke in John chapter 8. It would be wise to distinguish God from the LORD God, LORD, Lord thy God, Lord GOD, and the infamous Lord thy God from the land of Egypt.

Jehovah does indeed need a witness. Nuff said.

    Peace

It's my firm belief that if Harold's judgment day had anything to do with the biblical judgment day that he owes the bearers of the Zoroastrian heritage for the usage of the concept considering it was their ancestors who founded it.

Its the end of the world as we know it , not the destruction of the universe but the reunion of it with the spirit and soul elements and then there will be no more death no more crying for the old ORDER of things will pass away. There is a heavenly kingdom literally that exists outside of this universe but it much bigger. I believe that the heavenly spheres or planets will appear in this universe on the day of this union. I also believe that this isnt going to happen until there is acknowledgement and communication with others that reside in this universe on other planets.
