If there is contention between two ideas, it is that neither and both are correct.

It is that both are part, but neither is the absolute truth.

Never decide for one or the other, only ego will make such a choice.

Always remember that truth ultimately happens when ego falls.

It means that anything ego does along the way is against truth.

Your nature already knows truth, it will let you know when something aligns with it.

A certain resonance happens, a feeling of ecstasy arises.

You can say this pleasure isn't the point, yet it is a by-product.

Over time it fades, you become more used to it, but if you are staying in resonance with existence, it does not go away.

Trust this.

My answer to what you posted is the old question" Is the glass half full or half empty?" The only correct answer is both. Its half full and half empty.

Whichever you choose says more about you than the glass.

The only completely true answer is both. It about getting to the center of the meaning. Both is the center.

That it is both also means it is neither.

Choosing is to miss the center, the chooser is the only error.

Even saying 'the only completely true answer is both' is to bring in delusion.

The glass has nothing to do with any thoughts about it.

It cant be neither. Then there wouldn't be any water in the glass and the question would be irrelevant.

It is an irrelevant question.

No words express what is actually there, they are just sounds we make that we've agreed mean something. If I say there is water, or there isn't water, it does not change anything about reality.

The glass being both is the reality. That is the point to the answer. Its the only completely true response to the question.

This is a great example of your fallacious logic though:

You say if the glass is neither half full, nor half empty, there must be no water.

Do you see the absurdity of the conclusion, the insane leap of your mind?

The glass being both is the reality. That is the point to the answer. Its the only completely true response to the question.

You have chosen to decide it is both.

You reject that neither are really true - since both are correct, to say either would not be complete.

How can I possibly show you the insanity of the mind when you cling so steadfastly to it?

My mind is rational. Insanity , the definition of it, is repeating the same behaviors and expecting different results. The question of the glass being half full or half empty is to show rational thought.

Am watching "To Kill a Mockingbird". A couple of good lines pertinent to this thread:

“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view... Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.”

“People generally see what they look for, and hear what they listen for.”

Never saw that movie that I recall.

While I understand the viewpoint - nah.

Argue it out - ideas will move freely in the exchange, and people will learn.

You're both nuts - the whole point of the glass was to ask you why a son of God thirsts?

Why do you create needs for yourselves?

:) j/k about you being nuts..... but y'all asked for it...

Consciousness is the root of all experience, why is it you still feel attracted to physical incarnation? Why limit yourself thus? Why are here to argue glasses of water?

THAT is the lesson of duality in the physical.... :)

Consciousness might be the root of experience, but who is aware of it?

In deep sleep, we remain without consciousness, who is this one?

AZ is right. Point to consciousness. Let me know how you experience it. Most neuroscientists now are firmly conviced (as some Masters have been for millenia) that consciousness is a made up thing in which we incorrectly postulate our thoughts and experiences dwell.

What masters? All the ascended masters were well aware of consciousness. If you didnt have consciousness how are you even here? You wouldnt exist.
