The ghost is your own holy spirit. Giving up the ghost is submitting to the will and divine mind to GOD. An example of giving up the ghost: There would be a flash of light like lightening striking. A white light that is love light. The holy spirit. After the flash of white light there would be a flying around and ascension to ones own highest place. Then a descension and a feeling of ones molecules closing in or forming. The mind, the essence the body is love literally. The cross is an ancient symbol meaning the union of body soul and spirit. This giving up of the ghost would be this union. In an incarnated being it is a revelation and seal opening and binding. Its the true meaning of the cross. It also reveals ones own personal highest self as well as revealing what god is and what he does.
