Would it be realistic to shake my head and say: "Well, I prayed, I did ask. But God didn't respond. Therefore imo there's no God"

a figment of your imagination
But if you believed in God, it would not be unrealistic to ask a favour of God? If a person believed in God, they would not think it unrealistic to address reasonable requests?

But would it be reasonable to ask God to turn Monday back to Sunday because I don't want to go to work? Or to bring my mother back to life so I can tell her I'm sorry?
Me thinks you have made my point for me.

Me thinks you have made my point for me.

I believe It's not realistic to take positions about God, based on our human senses. I believe it's realistic to be quiet. Let God be. Let the spirit be.

God doesn't need to put on a performance. God is there for the hopeless and the lost, when ego is gone, imo

"To what can I compare this generation? They are like children sitting in the market places and calling out to others:
‘We piped for you, and you did not dance; we mourned, and you did not weep'
Matthew 11: 16-17

There are higher and lower things. All states of being are not equal. There are shades and degrees of everything. It's never simple binary, black or white, imo

"Deep calls to deep
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and breakers
have swept over me. By day the Lord directs his love,
at night his song is with me—
a prayer to the God of my life"
Psalm 42: 7-8

The Lost Majiqal Art of Prayer

Prayer is a "lost" magiqal art. It has become rote recitations or simple wish-making. Prayer originally was a process of concentrated visualization, combined with emotional and mental energy, properly grounded to the physical through proper vocalization. The spoken Word became in essence praying, this was first understood by the ancient Egyptians in the way of Affirmations and made manifest in (Heka) vibrational magic. Efforts were made to align sound with the principles of a cosmic order (natural ordering of the universe) which perhaps could be seen as a LOGOS, the dialog with that part of your Self that has the ability to create any condition you need or desire.

The invocation within a prayer unites our meditative state of consciousness with the power of the Word and our innate force of Will. The mechanism behind this is the same mechanism found in incantations. The word incantation comes from the Latin root "inner" and "sing". Originally someone qualified to perform the prayer/incantation was needed, average people of the community did not believe they possessed such a magical link as did their shaman, priest, or sorcerer.

The prayer works the same way that Haitian Vodou does, through the power of suggestion which can be explained more scientifically through neuroplasticity. With any incantation one is either seeking to create change within or to unveil some hidden truths also from within. The priest or shaman is the one who makes some change in objective reality by delivering the prayer or incantation. This is called an illocutionary force.

I believe God answers spiritual prayers in regards to our personal life. God is here for the individual
