if you want to really fall in love with Jesus Christ then don’t read your Bible......study it. You will get far more out of it. The Word is Jesus. So if you can’t fall in love with the Word then you can’t fall in love with Him.

Howdy reader, this is an inteefait site. We don't proselytize here...we discuss religions. Now if you are inviting input.and discussions from Jews who may believe Jesus to be a wise man, or prophet but not son of G!d, or if you want to hear from Muslims who believe he was not crucified, the abrsahamic section may be for this post.

But if youd like to have Christians discuss the benefits of bible study...the Christian section might be .ore appropriate, or maybe you want to have it moved to belief and spirituality, where Hindus can discuis the man many see as a guru, or all can discuss.the value of aerously studying sacred scripture like the Bible, Qur'an, Gita, etc...

You have me all wrong, Wil, I’m not doing anything except showing the interpretation of some of the KJV of the Bible. I’m not trying to convert anyone just discussing the Religion that I know best. Sorry if I have ruffled feathers but anytime you discuss anything feathers get ruffled no matter the subject. The reader

Thank you, Wil I’ll not forget this favor (just a little side note the US is not long for this world. God is getting ready to put His hand on us).

Lol, (us not long for this world). None if us are.

The US has its troubles...mostly from meddling and the continued manifest destiny, from presidents claiming G!d told them to go bomb Nineveh...

I use a bunch...two parallel bibles so I can get a feel of multiple translators and updates, as I don't read Latin, quoine, Aramaic, or Hebrew..nor do I understand old english and either did the authors or speakers in the bible.

I an iPad and on Apple store I picked up a bible that I use most it is a Strog’s Bible and it has the numbers right beside the word. Man you can look up as you read.

Do you read Greek? I don’t that’s the reason I use the Strong’s Bible.

Hi Reader —

You've got me a bit confused now. You mention the NLT as putting John in its true light:
"In the beginning the Word already existed."
— surely that means the Word, the Logos, the Son of God, existed before the creation?

"The Word (Logos) was with God (Theos),
and the Word (Logos) was God (Theos)"
— So the Son is with the Father, and the Son is God as the Father is God?

And to be clear, the NLT is a version translated to be easily accessible the the everyday reader, rather than technically or theologically accurate. Scholars would not reference the NLT, for example, as it is sometimes free with its translation. Strong's is excellent as a reference for double-checking, and of course blueletterbible.org offers every permutation.
