So the New Year is upon us and we are collecting ourselves for the next year may it be peaceful and reconciling and full of wonder.
For Baha'is the new year begins with the first day of Spring or around March 20th - 21st (the Vernal Equinox) which is called "Naw-Ruz" the ancient Persian new year.
Our calendar starts after Naw-Ruz it will be 175 of the Baha'i Era or 175 B.E. and our months are nineteen in number with nineteen days in each month. Each day and month named after an attribute of God.
Actually each year has a special designation as well.
