Almighty God is merciful. If we must, painkilling medicines are available for humankind.
But beware .. do not abuse God's Mercy .. we only abuse ourselves.
Spiritually aware people know that consuming more fruit and vegetables and less meats [ of any type ]
is nourishing for their souls. Do you like yoghurt or cheese?

I did not mean this post to be arrogant or such-like. God is Most Merciful, as He knows how hard our lives can be.

I am actually practicing very real self care. I can see how this can look to a world that has relied on religion to keep people in line and making babies, keeping society safe, etc. Stress and anxiety, and depression aren't what they used to. The Bible says the truth will set you free, and "Perfected love casts out all fear" It saddens me that I am no longer welcome here, but my personal belief is that it is to help me find a better place to share what is going on. What I am seeing. Maybe just what's been shared is enough for the world. I don't know.

    Alcohol is ALSO a drug.
I think you'd be better of with something like Co-codamol [ Tylenol ].

However, as I say, Almighty God is Most Merciful. I drink alcohol occasionally, but I remember all too well
how it wrecked my father's life and marriage. I only drink weak beer, and not more than one pint at a time.

I have a daughter who is bipolar, and I also suffer from severe depression from time to time.
Try not to be angry. Anger eats us up.

Got it, thank you. Just relax, don't worry. I have come to know the people/moderators here over time and they are very good-hearted people who always do what they think is right. Perhaps this is even a type of divine intervention. I thought protocols were in place and veils were heavy but I only have a very small window and like I told one of the mods at one point, "I trust your judgement 100%". So lets just go with that, try not to be angry.

    Attention Mods:

Just a thought here. I have been considering the possibility of a thread along the lines of what you have seen here. Did any of you ever see the old classic movie "The Ninth Configuration"? It's based on a book by William Peter Blatty. Actually has two different endings, the standard and the alternate (I prefer the alternate). The movie was centered around an old castle which was converted into an asylum for high ranking military officers who had suffered mental breakdown. Right up my alley, for sure.

Transferring military to "spiritual", the thread could be something like "The Ninth Configuration, An Asylum For Spiritual Warriors." It would conform to list rules of course, but within the rules it could get rather crazy. (In the Ninth Configuration the inmates are allowed to put on the play of Hamlet with dogs as the main characters.) What do you think? Doable, not doable? Use the pm function if you like. As always, you have my trust 100%. I just hope at some point you will see me as an ally and not a threat.

Ok, I swear, in all the time I've been here, this is only my second drunk post. How many of you can say that? :)

Thanks for your trust, Stranger! That means a lot.

The Code of Conduct of this forum is easy to find, right at the top level section listing. If you wish to clarify particular points of it, there's a discussion thread right next to it.

If you think the thread fits in here, go ahead. You are a responsible member here, like everyone else.

Well, cheers to you, Stranger! While I don't shun alcohol, I am very respectful of it. It is powerful stuff.

Thanks, appreciate that! This thread is okay with me as it is, it just seemed things might have gone a little south in some way I wasn't privy to and I wasn't sure you guys were okay with this thread anymore. Seems like everything is ok now so maybe we can proceed on here for awhile. Thanks for the trust, I'll keep that other thread idea in my pocket and perhaps we/I can use it at some point, who knows.

Indeed. Although my choice last night to imbibe seemed like a good one at the time, this morning not so much. :(

This creature sounds like a Jinn, specifically an evil one (a shaytan) as it is interfering with you. It is warping the idealised bond of husband and wife in heaven loving each other for eternity in bliss, even imitating husband with otherworldly wife (the Houris of paradise, a species of creation not seen by anybody else before), by saying she or it, is your wife now, in heaven, and always was your wife in heaven.

If you stop long enough you'll hear more stuff too but l wouldn't as there's always a price to pay. Like a will-o-the-wisp draws the lost traveller along, until he drowns in the murky bog. Typically it will become a demand that you kill yourself because you're too gentle for this cruel world, come, come, join wolfbride in heaven she'll say ... except suicides go to hell without even a trial, as she knows.

    Here's a vaguely similar description:

"A man from among the Companions of Muhammad met a man from among the jinn. They wrestled, and the human knocked down the jinn. The human said to him, You look small and skinny to me, and your forearms look like the front paws of a dog. Do all the jinn look like this, or only you? He said, No, by Allaah, among them I am strong, but let us wrestle again, and if you defeat me I will teach you something that will do you good. The human said, Fine. He said, Recite, Allaah! None has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever-living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists [Aayat al-Kursi al-Baqarah 2:255 interpretation of the meaning]. The human said, Fine. He said, You will never recite this in your house but the Shaytaan will come out of it like a donkey breaking wind, and he will never come back in until the next morning. (Reported by al-Daarimi, 3247)."
