It is amazing to me that we made the creator G!d male when we had the examples of creation right in front of us.

Seems to me that women have a better track than men when it comes to leadership ... and I think they are less likely to send other women's children into battle than men (referring to agression not defense)

    I propose...

Not all cultures have male creator gods.

An ancient Finnish myth has a duck pull up the solid earth from the bottom of the waters, to have firm ground to hatch the world egg, for example.

In Genesis, a kind of plural construction is used, maybe not unlike the modern English innovation of using "they" as a pronoun for non-binary genders. But that's just a guess of mine - I don't know Hebrew that well.

As for my beliefs - what is the gender of non-existence? After all, if a creator called existence into being, then existence can hardly be an attribute of the creator. ;)

    Not answering for Thomas.

To me, the idea that women can't be bad politicians, amounts to putting them on a pedestal. Just as bad as putting them on the "Child-bearing, nurturing 'Madonna'" pedestal: it denies them the full range of their humanity, in effect, it is just another attempt of men controlling what women can do.

Of course, I like good politicians better than bad ones.

    By their example, no.

It might have been men who sent young men off to war, but women were handing out white feathers to those they deemed should already be gone.

Women, like men, are the product of their times and culture, they carry it with them, and they inculcate the next generation.

Aint saying women can't be bad politicians... I am just comparing the one that run vs. the males we have had in office.

I think the odds are we can nominate and elect better.candidates than we had in the past by upping the percentage of women.

And yeah, an increased level of empathy and compassion for our earth and fellow man would not hurt.
