Raw meat makes me nauseous to see... good luck to you.
Yes, I'm expecting to have to claim diplomatic immunity when it comes to such items. Hard to believe I used to work in a supermarket (many moons ago) and it included working on the fish section - including filleting.

Seeing new vegetarians, that seems to be one of the biggest problems for them when they're 'transitioning'.
I am not at all a fan of meat substitutes (beyond impossible sietan wotever). I see them more as a hindering crutch than training wheels.

And do chuckle at the dorito vegetarians...

At burning man...assigned to kitchen duty..."hey wil, will you cook up 22 pounds of bacon? "

For years I refused to cook meat...it was byob and cook your own beef at my house.

I sanctimoniously refused to partake in their early departure from our planet....now I developed a live and let whatever attitude (with food and religions)

I don't mind the meat substitutes, and do use them in cooking, but I'm not dependent on them. I toss them in here and there, but its by no means a daily deal.

What's a Dorito vegetarian?

One of my most favorite people in the world is a Hindu and strict vegan. Being from India she brings me food from her culture ❤️

Sad story. We had a potluck where we had to bring a dish from our culture being either ethnic or family culture. Someone brought a crockpot full of chitterlings and it sat right in front her all day cooking. I felt so bad for her and she just looked ill all day. Being the kind sweet gentle person she is.. not one word of complaint came from her. I even suggested it be moved and she just said no and that she was ok. I love her so much and I've never met a more humble person than her.

I want to keep breathing for as long as I am able (allergies suck Fsewr water iykwim.) It's like if a person is deathly allergic to peanuts had a couple of plain chocolate lentils, not realizing that they contain ground peanuts, triggering an allergic reaction.
