There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio

With the Winter Olympics coming up in the new year, stories like these get some curious attention.

I liked their thoughts about "trade-offs" and "training smarter"

What does anybody else think about this? Either in general or with things like the Olympics coming up?
(Or even for your own use if anybody here is an endurance athlete -which I am definitely NOT)

I will tell my endurance story; but it pales into insignificance compared to the 'Worlds Hardest Geezer. His story is incredible, but I think he could have done more, if Africa was a few hundred miles longer.

Russ Cook, also known as the "Hardest Geezer," averaged over 28 miles (45 km) per day during his run across Africa. He ran a total of more than 9,940 miles (16,000 km) in 352 days, with his daily mileage varying due to complications, setbacks, and health concerns along the way.
