You've got me confused.
In these situations, good men acting would lead to diminished free speech. So, would you support free speech only for some?

I don't think you're wanting me to go through the fine detail of WW11 so "Diminished" may be a result of the three questions, with conscience as our guide. This was my original point. Total free speech may suggest a lack of responsibility, a failure to consider the three questions and be able to answer yes to each of them with a clear and honest conscience.

O.K., so who here would like to see a responsibility clause attached to the right to free speech? And who should decide what speech is responsible: acceptable?

I think that extreme speech should be encouraged. Hatred and bigotry breed and thrive in the dark. I think that racists, for example, should be given a public platform for their ideas. Let's hear what they have to say. Let them hang themselves with their own words. But we somehow feel that that's too dangerous. Real free speech is too dangerous. Why? Could it be that we are programmed to reject the idea of ultimate free speech because that would serve to undermine the control mechanisms placed on us by the government and those with a vested interest in controlling speech? Could it be that freedom of speech, a right guaranteed to us (americans) in the constitution, is an idealistic illusion?

I heard of that big brother rubbish lol... Not in to TV shows specially ones as dull as this, but I think the case here is this Jade, sure she is simple and so on but she simply didn't like the other girl....
