It had interesting points if you read between the lines, but it was completely over dramatised with a liberal sprinkling of demonolization of the tradition. Shame really as it would have been more interesting if done in context – remembering that gods like Osiris were often painted with a green face, it is said that such people were green men [followers of the green road or middle path]. I think that typically ‘green men’ are people that are for some reason connected with nature spirit, this can manifest in a roguish manner, [the main character was a drunkard! – people wouldn’t believe anything he says!] but this is simply because nature is expansive and dynamic and the spirit performs universal yoga, the objective in my mind is ‘to be flung to extremes that the line of balance is firmly redrawn’!
