I've gone a bit 'old school'- Alice Cooper, Wellcome to my Nightmare and Iron Butterfly, In a-galda-da-vida. Did you know it was originaly called In The Garden Of Eden (just like in the Simpson episode were Bart hands it out as a Hymnn in church) but by the time the rest of the band got there the singer (writer) was so drunk it came out as... Oh, you did.
lol, pfw. Listening to Pearl Jam's Yield this morning. I've got to get me a copy of No Code, too. I miss that album... Yield favorites: Push Me, Pull Me In Hiding Given to Fly (I know the yellow is impossible--but I'm doing RAINBOW colors, friends!!!) Wishlist Faithfull Low Light Brain of J
Tango Siempre. Went to see them the other night - they performed with a couple of Argentine tango dancers; really enjoyed it. Bought a CD and got it signed! (I'm still a teenage fan in my head) Tango Siempre - the UKs leading tango ensemble (click on Audio to hear some of their music) s.
Keshe Niftah (When We Open) by 'Eden Mi Qedem Discovered them a week or two ago on youtube. Got the album at the itunes store. Awesome band from Jerusalem. Mix of classical middle eastern with electronic and dance sounds in hebrew, arabic and english. Their version of Yedhidh Nefesh is sweet. dauer
Played Brain Salad Surgery for the first time in years the other night. Still brilliant. I saw them "at their peak" when this album came out. One of the best gigs ever.... Old Fart Speaks.
Not only am I passionate about music, as well as simply listening to whatever I’ve already got or falls into my lap, I’m forever on the lookout for interesting new stuff. The great majority of what I hear does nothing or little for me but I’m motivated by the notion that there may be somebody or group or whatever out there making music that I would absolutely love so I need to keep hunting for it. The nightmare scenario is that I fail to hear some music that is, for me, “perfect”, an ideal that I always seek. So against all the odds, (but vindicating my never-ending search!) I have recently discovered a band who push all my buttons so to speak. And what’s even more amazing is they’ve only been in existence (with a hiatus) for about 30 years and I’d never even heard of them let alone heard them. So now I’ve started with their debut album from 1977 (called 1313, which I’ve just seen is to be re-mastered and re-issued with bonus tracks - !!!) and have had their two subsequent albums delivered. The band are Univers Zero. If this means anything to you, I’d describe them as being like the Bruford / Wetton / Fripp / Cross / Muir period King Crimson line-up playing music written by Bartok. Quote from a review: “For music fans who worship at the altar of that thorny, convoluted and rigorously challenging wing of the prog canon known as Rock In Opposition…Univers Zero exists largely beyond reproach.” s.
I didn't know air conditioners have cut albums (learn something new everyday. ) I believe you're thinking of AC/DC (a group I don't listen to unless they're on the radio.) Phyllis Sidhe_Uaine
HI: Anyone familiar with "Animusic" ? I switched on the local PBS channel this a.m.and it was being featured during a fundraiser. WAY COOL ! Quality vibes and original images. Well worth a look IMHO. Animusic - DVD Info & Clips - Animusic 1 flow....

Oh... them . I have a copy of Crawling Wind that I never really liked, but now that you've mentioned it, I've just put it in and will give it a listen.
You have something by them? You must be Belgian then I think! I've just got Crawling Wind actually (originally an EP) and I do find it rather disappointing, not as involving as 1313 or Ceux du Dehors. I will persevere cos I do think they are interested in making intelligent music and are a creative unit (well, drummer plus various!) s.
Yeah Demanufacture and Remanufacture still rock my boat Just borrowed the most recent Chillis and it does seem to be a continuation of their slide into mainstream pop generally (compared to some of their past glories). s.
Yeah I tried to get back into the chilli's but have gone off of them. Fear Factory do the damage for me, have done since 1992! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Isn't it wierd, we buy a new albumn that we can't get enough of. Listen to it constantly. Then 10 years after we stopped listening to it we bung it back on and even though we remember all the words, it just doesn't do anything for us. Of course Abba are the exception, it is against nature to go off them.
