I come from a Christian background, but I no longer consider myself such. Over the past couple of years I've been studying comparative religion, mythology, and mysticism and I've become too panoramic in my views to be constrained by one label such as Christian.

I look forward to exchanging ideas here and learning from you all!

Namaste Limbo

quite the introduction, surely we will thoroughly enjoy your presence...

Hey Limbo :)

Welcome to CR. I can relate to what you are saying. I still call myself a Christian, but I can surely understand why some might not.

I look forward to your thoughts here.

InPeace,
InLove

Thank you all for the welcome! I've been lurking here for a little while and I think there is a great community here.

Just to clarify, I would say that I am still Christian in some sence...but the vast majority of Christians would probably call me a heretic. Christ is and always will be a very important part of my life. He is a friend, mentor, guide...but I have transcended exoteric Christianity.

I realize I could probably find like-minded people in a Mystic Christianity community, and I may end up there someday. But for now I want to remain in 'limbo.' ;)

Welcome Limbo-you'll probably find a number of limbo-ians here, (I'd fit that bill as well). I wouldn't say we're in limbo, we're just "flexible.";) :D earl

Hi, Limbo!
For some reason, your avatar looks familar to me. It reminds me of the "complementary proteins" model of the eight essential amino acids put forth in Francis Moore Lappe's book, Diet for a Small Planet.

Anywho, welcome to CR! :)
