Check out this vid on youtube.com and see why the name of the Lord is being blasphemed. People run to this sort of "gospel" by the millions. No wonder some of the mega churches are so "mega." The most sad thing about this stuff isnt that people believe it, but rather the world (outside of professing Christians) assume that these people are Christians and lump all those who claim to be Chrisitans as the same.

I wrote this as a thread opener in another forum, but I thought it would be appropiate here:

Ok. I was flipping through the channels and stopped at Daystar and watched a little of CYM.

Creflo Dollar spoke out of Genesis 13. And he expalined tha Abraham had the blessing on him from God and that is why he was "rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold" (vs 2).

So far so good.

And then he explained that Lot went with Abraham, also, as clearly stated in vs 1. But that Lot because he was associating with Abraham, also got the blessing through Abraham, for it says that Lot had flocks, herds, and tents (vs 5). See, Abraham got the blessing from God and Lot got the blessing from Abraham, simply because he associated with Abraham, so preaches Creflo Dollar.

Do you see where I'm going with this?

So then, Mr. Dollar pronounced to church that because they are members of his church, they will recieve a blessing through Creflo Dollar, to which there was a roar of jubilation amongst his congregation, hoopering and hollering in praise for the blessing they were about to receive. And then Creflo started speaking blessing upon all his members and, of course, the crowd went wild.

Is this right in your eyes? Is Creflo Dollar such a patriarch of God, in the same vein as Abraham, that his members can actually receive material riches just by associating with him?

Not at all Dondi.
Creflo Dollar falls in the whole Word of Faith crowd with Benny Hinn, Paul Crouch, Robert Tilton, Paula White, Joyce Meyer and Joel Osteen.

Not only do they not recieve material riches from him but they are being led away from biblical christianity in just about all their teachings.

What appalls me is when they go "reach out" to these third world countries and teach this garbage. These people are poor enough as it is and then they are told that they have to give to receive a "blessing from the Lord". Well, duh, look who are they giving to?

What a shameful scam.

I know it is wrong all around.

Whats so sad is people just do not take the time to actually pay attention to what some of these guys do and say. It has actually got to the point there are only a few shows on that I can even watch all the way through before I get the feeling Im not supposed to be watching this.

What a shameful scam, indeed! We shouldnt be suprise though, because this is prophecy being fulfilled. People will leave the truth and go looking for fake preachers that will tell them what they want to hear like 2Tim, chapt. 4 said. I'm watching Creflo now (dont stone me :)) and I'm trying hard not to hit the tv. Everything for this guy is money. Isnt it ironic how this guy's name is "Dollar" and that is all he talks about?
