Hello all, I'd like to introduce myself to the group. I am just a regular almost 40yr old woman who has always been interested in other peoples beliefs. My parents realised that as a teenager I wasn't going to join a convent, but my curiosity still bothered them, no doubt. We were raised catholic but not going to church every sunday. I suppose we practiced our faith when it suited us. Not very often, let me tell you. But for some reason, I've always wanted to know why people are so sure that their faith is the right one?????? I'm the type of person who invites the JWs in because I want to pick their brains, same with the Mormons and whoever shows up at my front door peddling their religion. I dont want to convert to anything but I want to know what they know and judge for myself. I am sooooooo delighted to find this site and to read all the stories from everyone. Please feel free to talk to me, think of me as a sponge and I want to soak it all up:D

Hi greymare and welcome to the world of CR:)

Tacking your "hello" onto this thread might mean you've zoomed in under the radar so to speak. Why not start your very own Introduction thread? Then as a sponge, you might get deluged :)p ) with welcomes!!

I'm a bit of a sponge too, but i give myself a good squeeze regularly. Lots of really great folks here coming from lots of great perspectives most of which I dont agree with. None the less i find nuggets of inspired wisdom in the most unlikely of places and so all of them are worth the time to read. Look forward to getting some of your thoughts out there so please dont just sponge....give a little too!!

Hey greymare! You will definitely find a great diversity of beliefs on this site and many "experts" in their respected field of religion. Welcome to the CR Fourm. Come on in, the water's HOT!
