When I was younger, I thought the idea of elders teaching me something was ludicrous. As I have gotten older the thought of passing something along occurred to me. But, since I make a huge mess of every endeavor I engage, I question my own worth in doing something like that. But, the best part of my stupidity is that I never feel that logic is any impediment to going forward. To younger folks? What would I say? No new lessons, just a basic old one. Follow your heart, follow your dreams. Don't give up on something better, higher. Don't surrender for second best. The things I have seen people achieve are remarkable. My friend Virginia knew these lawyer guys. These guys were high powered, very rich lawyers. They would work about 4 months out of the year. And then, with that money, that just went globe trotting. A lot of hiking and mountain climbing. Just figured out how to live the dream. Kinda of like Patrick Swazye in Point Break, but without the bank robbery or Gary Busey.
