I gather that Little Britain USA has been networked across the States. Has anybody watched it and if so what is you reaction to it?

Well, we have it in Oz and I LOVE little britian. Its crude sometimes, yeah, but funny as......
I think Vicky Pollard is a great character, (yeah, but, no but) and the guys are genius's. When Im at work sometimes we "do" Anne, or "computer says NO" . If you havent watched it, you wont "get" it, but those that have indulged know exactly what I mean. And dont even bother denying you havent practised being one of the characters........... I know you have. LOL. (TWO ladies,,,,,, haveing tea.)ROFLMAO

The problem with little britain is it gets old quick, all characters are very repetitive.... (they are all just one trick dogs... One catch line... Oh she didn't say that!!... again!! Oh how amusing.....) Also aside from this, I doubt americans will "get it"

Thats my feelings about it too. I think it will disgust most Americans.

I find that they tried so hard to find an Obama look alike to be president a bit off. They should have stuck with the incumbent. But I suppose they hope to sell repeats so...

Haven't seen Little Britain.

But I always liked Benny Hill, the flying circus, faulty towers, ab fab, and others that came over...

and wasn't All in the Family and many of our shows take offs on yours?

From what I gather a lot of the shows developed here made it big over there.

I dont watch much TV, but at a glance there is not nearly as many US shows on the primary channels here as there used to be. Maybe others see the same?

Mate, same genre.... same nationality... not the same talent and skillful writers.... (two people with average grades from bristol university and lack of experience in the comedy scene Compare to the likes of idle, cleese, palin, chapman, jones! different league....) It is more modern comedy of modern England, and not being from England I think most americans (more so than normal) will struggle to understand the funny side. but even with the culture humour barrier aside, comparing it to the works you mentioned.... Did they ever seem repetitive or one trick wonders? :) They always came up with original new amazing insane funny things....

well, Kath and Kim is a huge hit in Oz, but failed apparently in the USA. Now we have Summer Heights High trying to break it into the USA tv, personally, I love it, but I wonder if the americans will see it in the same light?. Remember. its comedy...... thats all...... no offence......

That is a good example of it... Kath and Kim... Not funny... At, all.... But, to you.. An ozzy it is hilarious.... *shruggs* Why? Cause it is your humour lol... I feel humour can fall into a culture/nationality section alot of the time.

yes, but maybe, just maybe also because we had to original actress in it (obviously aussies) and in a way we can identify with these people. We all know someone like them, LOL. still, it was very "noice", unusual but very "noice". lol

An American version of Kath and Kim? Hey wasn't that our idea? They're trying to copy something Australian eh?

I've never seen the American one. I've seen a bit of the Australian one. I never watched it much....too busy with other stuff to bother.

I can't remember much on it.

All I can remember (clearly) is the "Look at me...look at me..." and the "Empty your mind...empty your mind...Empty...oh that was quick."

If there's anything I'd find amusing about it all is the heavy Australian accent and the rudeness, lack of manners and obnoxiousness of the characters and the way they make a fuss and farce out of everything and anything. It's their temper tantrums, over-reactions, carrying on and the amount of noise they make.:D

Are they going to make a British version?
