As far as I know, all the triads in the Vedas are as Mother, Father and Son... again the opposites merging to manifest a Wholeness.
The only exception is the Trimurti, Brahma - Creator, Vishnu - the Maintainer, and Shiva - the destroyer.
Again, however, we see the duality - creation and destruction. I think you might agree that this is why Krishna is considered an incarnation of Vishnu and not the opposites of Shiva and Brahma. Krishna has manifested both sides of this duality, and thus realized his state as Nimitta Matra - a divine vessel.
