To those who celebrate this holiday, wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

To me Christmas, which we are all fully aware is a day of convenience, not the birth of Jesus... So to me,.as it is a place holder, it is a reminder for us to let the Christ be born in us continually, let the only begotten be eternally begotten, as Paul told us in Phillipians...

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God

It's a liturgical feast. No-one is required to believe Jesus was born on exactly Dec 25th exactly 2018 years ago. It's commerating the nativity of Jesus The Christ. Emmanuel. God With Us.

Could be. And perhaps five or so years earlier. It's not that important. The priest at the Mass today was talking about it, so it's not hidden away.

Me, I'm just glad it's over for another year, lol

Nice your little folk helped with the tree this year.:D Gathering round the tree was a big thing when I was coming up. Can still hear me dad's voice as he read the Bible.

Man, that just touches my soul.
 
It is awesome watching the next generation willingly take over the holiday hosting. My niece and her hubby have created a beautiful home. My other niece and he hubby handed my mother a pair of baby socks, announcing her first great grandbaby. The kids all doing the dinner, establishing new traditions, their traditions, their choice of foodstuffs. Just enjoyable to sit back and watch it all play out.
