ramadan mubarack.
Ramadan is a month long time of reflection, of giving up niceties, of doing without (much like Lent). It is also a time of re-connecting with others, considering the five pillars, reaching out to those in need.

In short, it is an accounting for the soul of one.

Oops, didn't realize. No offense meant. I will be a teacher, as soon as I retire from the Coast Guard.

Just wishing the Muslim community a blessed Ramadan.

Thank you so much Phyllis.

It's strange, before I even logged in tonight I knew it would be you who had posted a Ramadan thread .. you are always so kind and thoughtful.

Ramadan kareem.

Walk humbly
Talk politely
Dress neatly
Treat kindly
Pray attentively
Donate generously
May Allah (swt) bless & protect you

so hows it going ?

Salam NTC

thanks for asking. Let's just say it's going .. first week over and starting to struggle with headaches and feeling sick when I do eat.

The good news is I have stopped smoking completely, I am really enjoying my prayers and the days are getting shorter lol :D

ramadhan mubarak - and get those kebabs in for iftar!

 Don't mention food, that's so cruel ;)

Just one of those things were there are just not enough hours in the day.... *longing sigh*

Trust me .... there are :eek:

I found it really easy in the first few days but it's getting harder each day. I don't usually struggle with it like this.

I have soup and fruit for breakfast.

Yes I get the feeling that if I can stay a non smoker I will always be a smoker who is not smoking :(
