Greetings!

Thought I'd best re-introduce myself, since it's been a long time since I've hung out here. Brian remembers me as an old hand from 'way back . . . a year ago or so. I delighted in the discussions on this board--as well as in the tolerance, intelligence, and mutual respect which all too often are missing from other religious discussion groups.

To those of you who remember me--my apologies for dropping out of sight. This has been, without a doubt, The Year From Hell. I managed to survive it--barely--but was too stressed to be involved in very much other than the actual survival itself.

To those of you who don't know me . . . I am pagan and a witch. I have some formal Gardnerian training now, but consider myself eclectic and am currently solitary. In my early years, I was a born-again Christian and can debate with some authority on Biblical topics. A period of disillusionment led to my becoming an atheist and, much later and by weirdly round-about paths, a pagan.

I am a published writer, with 70-odd books out to date. Most are either science fiction or military thrillers of the Clancy ilk. I have just recently completed my first non-fiction [um, depending on how you define the word "fiction"] which discusses magic and witchcraft in the light of quantum physics.

For the past couple of years I was living up in Maine, but have now returned to my beloved western Pennsylvania where I belong, and may the gods drop a mountaintop on me if I ever think about leaving again. This . . . is home.

Any way, that's the short version. Again, hello . . . and it's good to be back!

Welcome. Nice to meet another Pagan.

I'm a Celtic Reconstructionist type, living in Washington state. I've been following Pagan paths since 1984. During that time, I've studied several Wiccan traditions (I'm a 2nd degree Alexandrian among other things), and have a long and abiding interest in comparative mythology and religions.

I've written a little myself, but nothing like what you've got under you're belt. I've published a small-press book, a bunch of articles, some essays, and a batch of poetry over the years. At present, I've got two books in the works -- one a compilation of some of my articles, poetry and essays, and one on the ogam alphabet.

Looking forward to seeing you around.

Merry meet again. :)

Hej, check out the books thread. :sly: I've been rather busy too, Bill (school's started, third semester Japanese is killing me, etc.)
