What are your reasons for believing in God?

I like this. Good dialog indeed. Everyone sees God differently according to their own life experience and prospective and that's a good thing. I think there is much to be learned by sharing our individual opinions. Of course, being human, our perception of God is limited. As Earth bound mortals, we just can not see the big picture and how it all ties together. Only God knows the truth, the whys the hows and the end result. The best we can do is speculate. My own ministry has one simple decree, it's not important how you believe, why you believe or what you believe, only that you believe.

I reckon what we believe about God says more about ourselves than about God.

tell me about you ministry ?

Like I said, that's a long story, but here's the highlight reel. I'm Christian and live on the east coast of the the US. About 25 years ago I married a Hindu girl from the Fiji Islands. At the time, I didn't know much about her religion, but didn't see it as a major problem. I just figured she'd pray in her corner and I'd pray in mine. Over the years and countless trips to Fiji, my understanding of the Hindu faith grew and grew. To my surprise, my wife and all of my inlaws were very accepting of my faith and more than willing to share ideas. Early on I was invited to participate in various ceremonies and pujas. I didn't understand much at first, but there I'd be in the middle of everything reciting the Lord's prayer. As time passed and my understanding of Hindi increased, I found more similarities in the two faiths than there were differences. Some time ago, I had promised my wife that if we ever got a place big enough, I'd build her a Hindu Temple in the back yard. Well, you guessed it. We did and I did. It's now known as the Namaste Jesus Ministry and embraces Hindu philosophy through Christianity.
