Resolutions

Have you made some resolutions, New Year, or otherwise, which you want to keep? What sort of penalty would you impose on yourself if you don't keep them?

I am resolved not to post on a couple of forums on which I used to post. Should I break that resolution I have promised myself to donate £100 to a reputable charity.
 
I can't say that I've actually ever made a New Years resolution as such, but I do have a sort of mental one day list. One day I'm going to do this or one day I'm going to get that.

What happens is, I'll see something I like or someone doing something I'd like to do and I'll make a mental note of it. The idea being as I accomplish this or that, it would be crossed off the list.

More often than not though, I end up crossing things off the list not because they were accomplished, but because my priorities changed and I no longer desire whatever it was.
 
I have resolved not to dwell on things that I have no ability to change one way or the other, especially if said thing is not even within my personal jurisdiction.
