Dear hopefully new friends,

Where to begin? Well, 7+ years ago I, a young Jewish woman, fell madly in love with a super devout and pristine Catholic in about 3 days. During our first "real" conversation, he told me he had recently vowed to never date a non-Catholic again

EXACTLY 6 years later, we were married.

What happened in those 6 years could fill a novel, and we have some super (retrospectively) hysterical stories.

But I'll jump to today.

We just launched an online retail shop where we design and handcraft a large assortment of interfaith decor and accessory products---such as wrapping paper, wreaths, jewelry, mezuzot, wine charms, etc. We focus on Jewish-Christian for now, but are happy to accommodate ANY interfaith combination!

We decided to embark on this venture (even though we are full time scientists...) because we really felt these items were missing in the market, and we want to support the blending of faiths for those leading interfaith lifestyles.

Our products range from spiritual/religious to commercial/secular. We fall across the whole spectrum, but that is a story for another day.

Our company is called InterfaithLiving and you can find us at interfaithliving-dot-com and www-dot-etsy-dot-com/shop/interfaithliving.

We have over 70 products AND take custom orders!

It's been pretty amazing to see our respective Jewish and Catholic families come together with this common goal!! Also a story for another day... it's been quite the journey.

Take care, and reach out anytime!!

meh, slightly spammy with a story...

and while people ain't here to shop for interfaith gifts...it is a likely place to find folks that might be interested in interfaith gifts...

Do others have curious minds about the really important stuff in life? Like why is unwanted email called Spam? Well it turns out there is an answer for just about anything on the web. To with:

How the Word “Spam” Came to Mean “Junk Message

Today I found out how the word “spam” came to mean “junk message” or “junk mail”.
While some have suggested that this was because SPAM (as in the Hormel meat product) is sometimes satirized as “fake meat”, thus spam messages are “fake messages”, this potential origin, while plausible enough on the surface, turns out to be not correct at all.

The real origin of the term comes from a 1970 Monty Python’s Flying Circus skit. In this skit, all the restaurant’s menu items devolve into SPAM. When the waitress repeats the word SPAM, a group of Vikings in the corner sing “SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, SPAM, lovely SPAM! Wonderful SPAM!”, drowning out other conversation, until they are finally told to shut it.

How the Word ?Spam? Came to Mean ?Junk Message?

All together now. Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam;Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam; SPAAAAM. Wonderful SPAAAAM.

P.S. To the OP. I'm not referring to your post. It's all Wil's fault!

do you have anything without spam? Well there is spam, spam, spam and eggs....

but that has spam... yes but it is less spam than spam spam spam spam spam and eggs....

but I don't want ANY spam!

(especially from a DA right after Fergusen)
