If god made us, who made our god.

Wil, you of all people are going to call me on not willing to defend my statements. Kind of the pot calling the kettle black don't you think?

Cup, it is a shame that instead of getting involved in discussions, your only interest, apparently, is calling other people out on their comments. Why not put yourself on the line instead.

Have to say though this site is about as far as inter faithful as I have seen. I'm done. Bye, bye.

Oh yeah. Merry Christmas!

Sorry, I actually missed this! I do wonder, I'm acting out of the norm? I'm not involving myself? I didn't know this. I know I don't always have an opinion, I'm often more interested in what other have to say. Take your statement for example, I don't actually know where you're going here, I only have questions I don't have a side, your statement is too short for me to understand and I what to understand what you're trying to say.

And Merry Christmas!
And since I didn't see this I got the apology first and never got to be sore, the fact that you did apologise though says a lot to me about you. Thank you for that.

Meh... I've no issues with your questions...

I don't often have links for what comes out of my fingers... or supporting data beyond the ligaments that acted in response to electron impulses initiated by some neuro-chchemical facilitating the synapse short...

Thank you both.

Cup you do more often than not prefer to hear other's opinions than express your own. From where I sit though, you are a thoughtful guy, and I feel the rest of us are missing out by your not expressing your thoughts. Even if you do not have sides, I would be interested in explanations why you don't have a side.

Wil, it is a strange concept from my point of view that you have this apparent disconnect between what you think and what comes out of your fingers. Or that supporting data is not involved with your responses. Are you not just doing a form of stream of consciousness type of response? SoC is a great personal tool for self examination; not so sure it is of much benefit when you are making statements to the rest of us. We cannot follow the stream. All we have is the end result.

I don't expect anyone to change to suit me. We are who we are. We are also a whole lot more than who we are, and I guess that is the part I feel I am missing out on.

Thanks. Well there are reasons, and they have been brought up a couple of times here before, but I'm having a hard time defining it, and it usually devolves into numerous discussions on minor value statements. I might attempt to explain at some other time, but the quick and dirty is: we all have opinions what matters is how we got there.

On wil, he and I are alike, we don't always spend a lot of time formulating our ideas for others. Frustrating for those who have to read us of course but what matters at that moment is that thought we had. I don't always understand what wil is trying to say of the bat, but if it sounds interesting I don't have much trouble getting it out of him with a few specific questions. I know I sound a bit cold in my typing, but wil is always willing to engage, and I'm grateful for that.

DA, you seem unwilling to expand on your statement on the foundation of religion, I'm still interested if you ever change your mind.

We are the sum total of our thoughts, actions and experiences.....each of these imputs from the nature nurture argument have collided in us uniquely and spew forth out of us.

Yes, I respond here and in life stream of consciousness and without a filter.... socially it is more acceptable for me to use a filter, but I am attempting to create knee jerk reactions that are true to me, and eliminate my judgement and ....often it is not easily understood...even by me. If challenged I google resources that I recall, or that I am sure are out there to validate what I've said. Or I discover I am 100% wrong.... my memory is only so large and I often babble online and off and keep my ram in others minds.

I would suggest man created his God.

There is a reality that is perhaps pointed to by this word, but the attributes given to this God do not apply to it. We have anthropomorphised the pinnacle of human consciousness.

The disaster in this is obvious, this God will take on the personality of a particular community, and obviously will not seem similar to the God of another community.

Now we fight over whose fairy tale is most correct.

Missing the reality each tried to point at.
