Another Media "Star" Passed

Justin Reed passed away at the tender age of 35 from angiosarcoma.

"Who?" you ask?

He was with the Ole Miss Rebels (where he came close to 2,000 points in basketball), Boston Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Robert Guillaume passed away at the tender age of 89.

"Who?" you ask?

He was best known for his character Benson DuBois on both Soap and its sequel, Benson, but he was involved with several more shows both in front of and behind the scenes: http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0347039/?ref=m_nv_sr_1

He was so well-liked that the writers for one of the shows that he played in actually wrote in his stroke happening to his character.

Oh, and Antoine Domino passed away, also at the tender age of 89. You might know him better as "Fats" Domino. More info on him later.

I don't watch TV.... But it used to be when famous folk died, the major networks had documentaries already half done and would just whip them out. Musical greats would spawn possibly their greatest special ever by dying...

Does this still happen? Or do we have to turn to youtube for everything?

Harry Stradling, Jr., passed away on the 17th of this month at the tender age of 92

"Who?" you ask?

He was the cinematographer for such movies as Little Big Man, The Way We Were, Rooster Cogburn, The Greatest, Convoy, plus several others on both the big screen and the small screen.

Here's a link for a more complete list: http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0005888/

Daniel Hegarty passed away at the tender age of 31 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

"Who?" you ask?

He raced motorcycles and, during the Macau Grand Prix, hit a barrier at high speed (it was at the same place where there was a 12-car pileup the very same day.) Hegarty passed away on his way to a hospital (Glenn Irwin, the rider who won, said that he would've preferred to win in other circumstances.)

Mel Tillis passed away from (possible) respiratory failure at the tender age of 85.

"Who?" you ask?

He was one of the "hillbilly"/country music greats for at least the past half century (I believe that some sources have said that it was sixty years.)

Shame on me. I thought he had already passed some time ago...:(

David Cassidy, pop culture idol of the 1970's and co-star of Tv's Partridge Family, has died as a result of complications from dementia. He was just 67....
