Another Media "Star" Passed

Heather Menzies-Ulrich passed away at the tender age of 68 from cancer.

"Who?" you ask?

Before she married Robert Ulrich, she was in several movies herself, including The Sound of Music. Her filmography: http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0579991/?p..._t=15061&pf_rd_i=homepage&ref_=m_hm_nw_tp_lk1

On the twenty-first, Dominic Frontiere passed away at the tender age of 86.

"Who?" you ask?

He wasn't in front of the camera much, but he was quite prolific: http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0006089/?ref=m_nv_sr_1

Then there was Robert "Bob" Givens, who passed away at the tender age of 99 from acute respiratory failure.

"Who?" you ask?

He worked for Warner Brothers, Walt Disney, and Hanna-Barbera. The Bugs Bunny that most of you know started with him. Here's his filmography: http://m.imdb.com/name/nm0321454/?ref_=m_ttfcd_cr30

This thread suddenly makes me remember of old people....dang it how did I get to be 60?... reading the obits to see if they were still alive...

Depending on our definition of "media star" this could have 3 or 4 a day!

I do like the "Who?" you ask? very muchly though...I have learned more about some folks after they died than I ever knew in their lives (and often this includes their name).

Lol,

Watched a couple DVDshows just the other night.... Right after its a wonderful life..

Dick, rose Marie, Maury Amsterdam, good stuff..

Not much longer for 2017, but surely we have a few more in the queue!

I just listened to one on NPR, a musical compilation of folks that passed...

Come on Stahs...last day to kick the bucket this year or you'll be digging up daisies in 2018!

Jerry Van Dyke, star of 'Coach' - 'My Mother The Car' and Dick Van Dyke's Younger Brother, has passed at the age of 86. FoxNews

I don't remember him in coach, but the 60's comedy series, 'My Mother The Car' still airs in rerun around here.
