Another Media "Star" Passed

A contemplation... When 17 kids are removed from life....that makes me sad. When someone who has lived life, made a difference, lived till their 70s, 80s, 90s... whatever It may sadden me as I miss them, if I personally know them. But even then, I am glad for them as having a full life, having all the experiences and lived to a ripe old age. I started feeling this way when I was young...and after turning 50 and 60...I know I've had a great life. I am sad, upset when folks are taken young, when parents are taken when they have kids they are still raising. I know I am not expressing this well, I know I may sound callous, apathetic, or uncaring, but personally if I were to go tomorrow (I have no plans, intentions or wishes)...Don't be sad, know that I have enjoyed life, know that I have enjoyed playing on this big blue ball with my fellow travelers... Let us do all we can so that the young may do so as well.

....."Conjunction Junction... what's your function?"..... Man, I miss Schoolhouse Rock.:(
I do wish he had written one on coincidence, correlation and causation... Also I did not learn adjectives, adverbs and such in school...I learned after I failed out of college on saturday mornings with friday nights hangovers watching cartoons in my 20's...

Norman Eugene Walker passed away due to congestive heart failure at the tender age of 90.

"Who?" you ask?

Clint Walker, a star "discovered" by Van Johnson, initially hired by Cecil B. DeMille after being late for an audition (he stopped to help a lady change a tire and it turned out that she was DeMille's secretary.)

Here's his filmography and obituary: https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0907636/?ref=m_nv_sr_1 http://start.att.net/news/read/arti...enne_dies_at_age_91-ap/category/entertainment

Aaron Smeltzer and Mike McCormick passed away at the tender age of 35 or 36 after a tree fell onto the SUV they were in.

"Who?" you ask?

They were reporting on the effects of subtropical storm Alberto (McCormick was the anchor/reporter and Smeltzer was the photojournalist on record) and they had just finished with an interview with a firefighter, getting ready to head to the TV station when the incident occurred.

Here's more about them: http://start.att.net/news/read/arti...die_when_tree_crushes-rpenskemc/category/news
