Keith Flint passed away at the tender age of 49 of undisclosed causes.

"Who?" you ask?

He was the frontman for the British dance-punk rock band The Prodigy plus he was involved with the worldwide smash project, Firestarter, back in 2007. Here's his obituary: https://news.internet.apps.samsung....=__all__&no_personal=1&is_importance=1&s_push

I wonder if 17th is/was familiar with Flint's music...

Dick Dale, Surf Guitar Legend, has passed at 81. :(

Played guitar left handed, but didn't re-string - played with the strings upside down!

I was about to post something on Dick Dale earlier today (just got my Internet back [YAY!]) after hearing about his death this morning on the radio. They played his most famous song, too, even though his genre isn't usually covered by the station on "normal" days.

They played Dick Dale-Stevie Ray Vaughan's duet Pipeline:

Sydney Aiello passed away from a (successful) suicide at the tender age of 19.

"Who?"

She was one of the survivors of the Parkland, Florida, high school, losing a dear friend to the shooter. She later devoted herself to finding ways to end such massacres. "Experts" believe she killed herself due to "survivor's guilt".

Here's more about her: https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/par...dly-struggling-survivors-guilt-173832081.html

Tania Mallet passed away at the tender age of 77.

"Who?" you ask?

She played Tilly Masterson in the "little-known" film Goldfinger. Yup, she was a "Bond woman" back in the 1960s, and she was a model roughly the same time. Oh, and her cousin was Hellen Mirin (Mirin's father and Mallet's mother were siblings.)

Here're Mallet's filmography and obituary: https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0539965/?ref=m_nv_sr_1 https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/tania-mallet-goldfinger-bond-girl-153843125.html

Shane Rimmer also passed away at the tender age of 89.

"Who?" you ask?

He voiced Captain Steve Tracer on Thunderbirds, plus he was in the little-known movie, Dr. Strangelove and three James Bond movies (two uncredited.)

Here're his filmography and obituary: https://m.imdb.com/name/nm0727300/?ref=m_nv_sr_1 https://variety.com/2019/film/obitu...dead-dies-thunderbirds-james-bond-1203176122/

I read a bit decades ago about life on the tour for those trying to ' make it'. Not so different from garage bands on tour, or minor league ball. However I was real surprised to find this ...

The final round of the tournament was canceled after Irawan's death, with Trevor Sluman awarded the title after leading through three rounds.

"This is a tragic day in the tour's history, and it would not have been right to play the final round," said Carlson. "Through Saturday, we had experienced a great tournament. Sometimes, though, things happen in life that are bigger than a sporting event.
