Your Daily Rant

A$$hats,

Anime ISN'T "ADULTS ONLY! I can think of at least two titles off the top of my head that I would feel comfortable showing a group of four-year-old children (the only thing about them that might be a tad difficult for the kids to understand would be the fact that, in one of the series, the main human character is an orphan [you meet him at his parents' funeral].) Stop blaming animation for sh!t done by people who aren't brain dead. I can think of several non-anime shows and non-manga books that you probably see/read that are far less kid-friendly, but you would refuse to ban them.

Idjit,

The offices are going to be closed tomorrow due to the cold. The high temperature here will be ~-23°F, not including the wind chill. My doctor appointments for tomorrow and Thursday were canceled due to the cold, so I have an idea that your appointment is also canceled.

Idjit #2,

All nonessential services are closed/personnel are to stay home! Is that too difficult to understand?

(As an aside, I'm not going anywhere unless required, and the furred purrson plural are staying inside as well.)

That is the way to approach this level of cold. Even a lot of banks in Chicago closed today because of the cold. To me, that says a lot, because the banks hate to close.

I hope all you up there can stay inside, we are going to hear of deaths due to people just going out for a minute, or needing syrup for pancakes...hopefully those that lose power will find someplace warm

Don't miss winters there. 20˚C when I got up this morning. That's about 68˚F I believe. May hit 80˚F by midday. Probably best 100˚F by weeks end.

To Whom It May Concern,

I appreciate your offer to get a few tins of :kitty: food, but the only places open are required to be open, and the place that has gooshy food is too close to warrant starting your car (it's less than two blocks away.) I think that I'll wait until Friday to pick up their food, plus I can cook up an egg or two each if they need something before then.

I recall my sister saying when she was in the Peace Corp in Benin...in the winters when it dropped below 80 it was always a concern, as that is when the old people died.

Everything is relative...

Today she will still have a sweater on in 90% humidity 80 degree weather.

Next Tuesdee our low will be 20 degrees higher than our high today and our high will break 60 degrees...

Whether 1 can whether the weather depends on whether 1 has whethered the weather b4

Just the ceiling fans in the main house where we are. Couple window units in some of the others. 460 system in me Hilux... 4 windows down, 60kph! -:D

Lol,.we used to have those. Till Nixon...roads long and straight thru the desert.... I got passed by a cop once at 90 mph, stepped back on the gas and couldn't come close to catching him.

Last year, on a long road in Utah, I was doing 90mph and a semi-truck flew past me doing at least 105 mph, because I also tried to catch him and gave up at 100mph as he kept pulling away. I've never seen another semi doing 90mph, let alone 90+. And he wasn't staying in his lane. Such bad driving on his part.
