Sorry I (earlier) started a thread post and then appeared to slip out - but hurricane Matthew took my house. A Live Oak tree that was so old it likely watched Sherman's March fell and cut my house in half. I am now in a 600 sq. foot guest-house behind my primary house. Geez! (Actually we are lucky nobody was hurt!) Just got power today and strangely enough my network is still working. Damned if I know how! Sure hope my insurance premiums are current ;) Later - ED

Glad you're safe and have alternate living arrangements. I was a little worried myself when Mathew didn't make that hook the weather folks were expecting and started coming up the coast. We have more than 25 mature trees on the property!

Glad that you're okay, but sorry to hear about your house.

Yeah, ED, ditto here! Hope the recovery is as pain free as possible ...

Oh my.... Now you have the chance to do those upgrades you've been wanting...

Glad you have your guest house, your humor, and your positive attitude in tact....they will serve you well!

Re: 13 & 14 - Yep. Found a silver lining. Now we gonna rebuild her smaller and single story. My bride and I have been here over 30 years. Time to down-size...
