Been a game player my entire life... Sunday afternoons and evenings were reserved for games around my house as a kid (in the summer there was more interuption with afternoon drives sight seeing or gardening...but games were always a thing...bridge, pinochle, euchre, wist, rummy, gin, pokeno, etc.

Chess had always been tops of the 2 player strategy...but has been overtaken now by Homeworlds...an intragalactic battle of economies, creating new bases, and working to take over our corner of the universe.

I play it live with pyramids from pyramid arcade, or online at http://superdupergames.org/main.html?page=about#homeworlds

I am not much for video games.... how about you?

Pinball was the big thing when I was young, but I never much cared for the virtual versions. Sims2 is about as close as I ever got to a video game. Well that and chess against the computer as no one else in my house plays. Trouble is my computer cheats!:D

Stratego and Pandemic are my go to games. I have a Nintendo Wii that I play very sparingly.

Three or four different versions of solitaire, War (an old friend of my brother's once played against me while DB and his then-wife went shopping for the friend; hilarity ensued) gin and a couple of other games with cards (I have three or four decks somewhere in the apartment...)

I also have several magazines that I've picked up that I have done logic problems as well as crossword puzzles and other games (the only ones that I don't do require drawing.) I do the logic problems in ink (my late father used to do crossword puzzles in ink, especially the New York Times crosswords [including the Caturday and Sunday ones] ) I used to do the daily crosswords online when they had them on Yahoo.

I tried to learn chess but I have trouble recognizing patterns, so I stick to checkers, plus I play different rpgs as well as the occasional round of Tetris.

Dad taught me to shoot pool. More as a means to make ends meet than a game though. Haven't played in years. Some cards back at University and that's about it. Never got into vid games. Other things to occupy my mind I suppose.

I got into hex-based board wargames, got a stack of boxes on top of a cupboard somewhere ...

Games once a week at my place...3 tables full right now, a few in the kitchen going thru munchie selection.. Three more tables before we are full... Well there is the over flow areas where two or three person games can be played.

Add four more bookshelves and a few randoms scattered around... we have choices around our house. Klunker is an end of the night favorite....Splendor has had about a year of popularity, Lost Cities, Little Prince, Blockus, Quirkle, Concept, transamerica (or europe), all get regular play... 3-5 suited games of hearts also popular... Zendo, Homeworlds, Volcano, fluxx and looney games as well.

I forgot about Blockus! I played that with students during my student teaching days.
