May you have an easier time getting the IV needle in than it was for me (my veins "jumped"/"collapsed"/caused no end of problems for the staff at the surgical center here.) It took around eight people to get everything in/straightened out.

When I was in the hospital for my gall bladder a few years back, I learned there is a such thing as an "IV specialist" in this case a nurse who does almost exclusively that I guess. They had trouble with my veins due to dehydration plus they've always been small... so they called her and waited for her...
