I reported a good friend's passing and that I had built dozens of projects with him...mostly art to burn...temples, effigies at "burns".

Well we built a temple for his memorial, a couple hundred friends and a few biological family showed up for our event (they had already had their more conventional viewing and funeral)

The temple was constructed of pieces from 5 pieces of art that he and I and others had previously built together...some.dating back to 2018 (the walls with the glass insets).

The couple hundred friends told stories of their experiences with him for hours, they added pictures and momentos to the temple, wrote poetry and blessings all over the structure (as is our way)....our burns to me also relate to the burning bowl services and traditions of Unity.

We sat in a circle and lit the temple....stayed until it all fell down and then the circle enclosed around the burning embers and we chatted and danced till the wee hours of the morning about for and with our friend who had made his transition from here to there. It was glorious to share with his friends from all over....writing this brings the emotion of his passing and the weekend back to me as I share it with my friends here. I thank you for being and he for having been.
