What is the human condition that needs to be right at all cost? And why.

Greetings all I hope you are well and happy. I was not sure I was going to post this because it will make some people mad. Which is fine. It’s just my personal opinion and one I believe solid.

I respect our one’s right to believe what they wish to believe as long as it or they cause no one suffering. I will not be responding to the post. I don’t get into long drawn out talks. I’m heading over to the astrophysics, cosmetology site. Not because of any of you, or this thread. I’m doing so because I love the universe study.



This site so far seems very, very good, respectful for the most part and for a good part looks like it’s an adult conversations as ensuring Bibi beliefs not forcing them. This certainly isn’t Facebook. But I still see an amount of “ I’m right you’re wrong and need to believe as I do or you’re lost, blind” etc. Your belief is wrong a lie, you are a tool of Satan. ( i did not see any of that here scanning quickly”) I know why but will never understand the need to be right at all cost no matter how much it insults, people, their histories, their religion of choice they’re along family traditions. Have to insult people.



Never has anyone here or at any site read the holy books of all other beliefs with an open mind but “ they are a lie”. “ I believe in god x and I just have to be right how could I be wrong, you need to believe what I tell you.” You have just spit in the face of that person, their belief they may hold dear and history of their families. If it was the other way around, that same person would be all insulted and pissed off.



The smell of hypocrisy in the morning.

Shit as I’m writing this China just delivered nukes to Iran, lots of them and nothing ca shoot them down. Fits my point.



To have respectful adult exchanges of thoughts and beliefs without insults or dismissive words is great and needed.



You’re not going to change anyone’s mind nor should you. It’s none of your business. You know free will and all. Respectful Sharing is GREAT and what the world needs.

If we could only give to all others the very same loving kindness respect and compassion we seek for ourselves and loved ones. Be much less hatred, prejudice and other ills of this world. Ok that’s it. Just what I believe. May you all be well and happy. Free from suffering and the causes of suffering.

Typically not conducive to discussion on a site like this.

I believe we all here know we are not for everyone. Yes you are correct...people do like drama, fights, arguments insults... and we do our best to reduce that...often by walking away (many do...as you are).

I have walked away, from many posts, threads, posters....some my contribution does not would not benefit the discussion and I walk away...for others I do not listen to my blood pressure or heart rate and allow another to negatively impact my health and I respond...

I disagree...(on the anyone aspect) I dont think we have made people change religions...but i believe we have affected the temperament of some, opened the minds of a couple, introduced interfaith and increased some tolerance in others.

This site and it's contributors have tried to educate me...and some of it has sunk in.

I dont believe you are gone, I dont believe that you won't respond to this thread despite the fact that me writing that increases the odds that you won't. Now you have to play with that conundrum...

We are all entitled to opinions, no issue with that.

We have rules here when people start expressing opinions about the character of other people, or their beliefs, but that's just towards reasonable conduct in our affairs – as you say, as long as there is no cause of suffering, it's pretty much an open house.

There's a board for that here, and there are a few well-informed around. Personally, i find the cosmos a constant source of inspiration (sat up til the small hours watching the completion of Artemis II) – those images of the moon! Wow!

That kind never hang around long, and we've been obliged to show a few the door ...

I often find that people read insult or abuse where none was intended. We can, and do, have 'spirited dialogues', and I do confess I'm always up for the challenge of defending my faith, not to prove anyone wrong as such, but simply to argue my position is reasonable and rational (and thereby, I suppose, the other guy is wrong if he thinks it isn't.

If you look (please don't) at my early posts from so many years ago, I was a lot more confrontational than I am now, but over the years IO has rubbed down some of those edges. My bruvver @wil has been clobbered by me on more than one occasion, but we like each other, really.

And some of my best conversations, in terms of growth and understanding, have put my beliefs both under scrutiny and to the test. We grow by resistance, that sort of thing. Me and another bruvver @Ahanu go at it quite vigorously, at times.

Hey @wil, I thought, "Well that's uncalled for," and then I saw my double-post.

I'm at that age where I do, in fact, repeat myself, so I check before regaling friends/family with stories. I fear I've probably posted the same thing here more than once.

My most notable so far is introducing myself twice (some months apart) to a neighbour across the road!

What is it? In my opinion,exactly as you describe in your initial question.
The human condition is selfish ego centrism.
And religions are a reflection this as auto-theism.

We can be happy,healthy and prosperous. And share that to others. All we need do is know that is our choice to make. And within our power to make manifest.
